I’m pretty sure that the “Market Data” information is broken for the “Currency Exchange” tab of the Trading Post. The gold value of gems has dropped significantly in the past couple weeks. A $50.00 batch of gems used to get 8-10 gold a couple weeks ago, now it gets you about 4g 40s. While I think that is an absolutely asinine exchange rate, that isn’t my issue. My issue is with the “market data” averages. There is a 5 day low and 5 day high posted, but those numbers haven’t changed since I started playing a couple days before launch. The price has changed drastically, but the 5 day average hasn’t. Definitely something at work there.

I posted this in the sticky gem bugs thread above, but I think that might not be the right place for it.

they’ve changed daily for me. low prices benefit people who buy gems with gold. they’re 1/3 what they were last week.

this low rate right now is good for the players and not as good for AN. find that hard to complain about.

I would say that depends on which players we are talking about. It is good for gem buyers and bad for gem sellers. Either one is good for AN since you are either spending money on gems, or playing the game enough to earn coin for gems.

Is anyone else seeing the market averages change daily? The graph changes for me, but the numbers above them do not.

The green circle shows the price at which you can exchange your gems for gold. This has changed many times over the past couple weeks. It went from about 8g for 4000 gems to about half that.

The red circle shows market data for this exchange… these numbers have not changed since early access. If the price has changed drastically, the market data should have changed at least a little since it is for a rolling 5 days… but it hasn’t changed at all. Not by a single copper. Also, if you just do the math you know it is off by a lot. Otherwise at the 5 day low exchange rate, 4000 gems would go for about 720g. These numbers are wrong and don’t change. Please fix it.
