In Citadel of Flame Path 1, in the event just before the Legendary Effigy, you have infinetly respawning mobs that DO give XP. With full buffs it can reach to around 2k xp per mob and they die fast and there is a lot of them.

I see streamers doing it and many other ppl i know, they have mastery lvl 20+ after 2 days of HoT being out by just standing in one place pressing one button in one direction – basically acting like a bot.

If this is NOT an exploit like some tell me (since it’s using game mechanics that were in the game before HoT came) then I would like a Dev confirmation kitten.

ATM I can’t do the exploit for fear of being banned or rolled back, but at the same time I am being left far behind in mastery progression compared to those that are using it.

came here to report the same.. i cant imagine this is no exploit. every other infinite mobsspawn event (like CoF p2, before the last room) gives no exp

how is farming mobs an exploit? it isnt a glitch and still takes a while.

Was just about to write a post about the same. I farmed it for a while before I (together with some guildmates) concluded that it might be an exploit.

It gives a lot more XP than the Cursed shore farm but on the other hand you get no loot. So you kind of decide if you want to go for solely XP or XP and loot. Nevertheless it might be considered an exploit so would be great to hear from an Anet employee about this matter.

@ Zirith infinite mobspawn? at every other infinite respawn the mobs dont give exp…
