Trying to get one of the skill challenges earlier with my mesmer, one of the skill challenges had Melandru Statue of Corruption carpet bombing the area, and its a pretty large area – if anyone knows what this statue does…then they full well know how kitten annoying and dangerous it is. Aside from the veterans and mobs guardian the skill point, the actual statue itself is vastly more dangerous than the mobs combined.

You cannot dodge the attacks the statue points out ~ it stacks significantly bleeds and cripples on you. I was testing the statue earlier and literally couldn’t get remotely close without losing nearly half my HP, and that’s also using heals and condition removals too.

Basically, put ~ the skill point is near impossible to get solo unless your a zerker warrior and charge in, nuke the mobs at point blank range as the statue can’t get you when your right up close. As a mesmer, we can’t do this…The statue even sees straight through invisibility..

Or just bring a friend or two to help you, not everything in the game should be soloable, so just think a bit harder how to overcome this problem in game instead of immediately requesting a nerf.

you are supposed to turn the statues of by clearing their temples before going for those skill points

yeah, there are a few skill points that are only doable when the temple is turned. Anet have even added handy statue icons to the map so you can see when they are available

I’m going to have to agree, this skill point is kinda kittened impossible to get

Then you got the one guarded by a champion noble(if the event is up) on a short leash …
There is also the one with a champion knight.

Which SP is this anyway? The one at Graven Cay in Cursed Shore?
