Q:

In Living story Season 2, story instance Mystery Cave at the boss, “Shadow of the Dragon” After completing the ring of divine light and the dragon’s head appears out of the ground. Melee Weapons (had equipped GS/AX-AX on warrior) did not register damage on the dragon’s head (no note of “immune”, or “0”. The exceptions to this was sometimes Ax skills 3 & 5 registered at regular damage.

It appears the hit box is above the plane that the melee range attacks hit.

This was not the case when I first did that Living Story mission on the week of its release. At that time all the weapon skills hit and damaged the boss at that point until the ring was smothered.

I understand this to be a bug or glitch because I saw nothing in the patch notes about hit box changes.

note:
I had observed a similar glitch/change in Citadel of Flame Path 2 on Gaheron’s Crystal when it is vulnerable (not protected by acolytes). Unsure if that issue is still occurring on that path as I have not tested it recently.

Several weeks ago in one of their previous patches they glitched all hitboxes of all structures and they are indeed located in the wrong spots now.

They apparently don’t consider it important enough to fix yet.

A few other examples of it:

The door gates in Arah path 3 and 4 now has its interact option misplaced to the point of it overlapping the interact option for the light orb globes.

The top of the elemental source’kittenbox in the snowblind fractal is now located very high in the air to the side somewhere that isn’t possible to attack.

They’re all suffering from the same bug. The question is, how long will it take for Anet to care about it?
