Using the Mesmer’s Staff skill #2 (Phase Retreat) immediately after being knocked down or stunned will cause the Mesmer to be “rooted” to the ground; Basically unable to move.

This bug occurs in both PvE and PvP.

Addtionally: Using a WP does not fix the problem.

I hate to break it to you, but this bug has existed since the game’s existence and happens with many other skills and situations. Don’t expect to see it fixed soon, if ever.

Your only way out is to emote or use a toy. I’ve gotten used to having /sit copied in my clipboard so can paste it when it happens. It blows.
