Q:
[Merged] Defending Shaemoor: Gates will not open
I can confirm the bug, I made a character at 3am PST and it was bugged and now it’s 9am PST and the event is still bugged. This bug is preventing anyone from progressing 5 minutes into the game.
One possibility would be to guest to another server, if possible. You might find one where the event is not stalled.

Can confirm. I’m on SoS, and the event is still stalled.
EDIT: Guested to ET, and the event is fixed, it must be a server only bug.

Weird. Have you guys tried walking around the garrison? Sometimes that works.
Yeah 13 hours later….not working. Not a great first impression for new players.

People can’t actually PLAY YOUR GAME while the human starting quest is bugged.

This is your 4th thread on the same topic. No need to post it again and again. In fact, you might consider removing 3 of them before you find yourself with some Flood Control. Up to you, of course.

Just go to the other side of the garrison. If you do that the event starts.

Sea of Sorrows still a no go zone.
But anyway, the best thing players can do is, at mentioned above, guest elsewhere….

UPDATE:
Sea of Sorrows is the only server broke. Guesting is a temporary fix. Thanks guys!
After you create a Human Character the gate will not open to the big battle with the hand. I tried to log in again but the battle on the bridge is still going on.
Please fix so we can play

Some players have had success with guesting to another World. You can read about it in the pertinent thread in the Game Bugs sub-forum.

Try going around the garrison to the other side of the gates. The event should start when you get to the top of the hill there.

Do this, you will go into the final battle when you get behind the garrison.

Well, that’s unfortunate, and annoying. It must be really bugged if the event won’t start if you go around. Normally it will.

Ok. It was worth a try. Normally the event starts when you go to the back, bypassing the gate event.
Just made a new human on HoD and complete the starter area with no problem.
Same here…. AG server….
Guys, just guest another server and will work.
Good thing guesting is still there.
