This happened to me as well.

also you need to nerf the drop rate to the portals, right now the price of a portal is going at about 30silver, but to craft the portal thats over 10gold worth of salsa because salsa is at 20s each and the recipe requires 50. So it’ll be great if you can fix the function and drop rate of the portals thanks, im interested to see where it ports me

not only that, they need to nerf the drop rate of portals otherwise the recipe will be completely useless. right now to craft it with salsa at 20s each x50 would shoot you over 10g per portal. but portals are being sold on TP for about 30s each… thats a big difference to 10g.

^This. I tried it also didn’t port me anywhere and consumed the portal also

yeah i just fell over, a portal appeared and i didnt go anyway

Same problem here. Tried in both an overflow and non-overflow zone. Doesn’t seem to be functional.

Me and a guildies too used the item and nothing happened, we were knocked down a tiny light appeared and then nothing

Can we at least know how this item is supposed to work? And the recipe ingame actually is not the recipe listed on the patch notes

Same thing here, are we going to get one sent back to us or something? They should disable the content so people don’t waste them.

Ive just used my 3rd one and same thing. Even activated stability to try and counter the knock down and it did nothing :/ Couldve sold it for a gold :/

Same here. Used two of them and aside from falling on my kitten it did nothing at all. I thought this was intended (after all, they are malfunctioning right ?), but apparently not ?

Im so hyped about this item and I think that if this teleportation thing with reward and dangerous encounters will be well balanced I’ll really love it.

i used some: t mostly it did not port me aswell, some ported me to senseless empty places and one ported me on a hill in queensdale where people normally cant go (with all the graphic-unfinished stones and glitches around me).

Yeah, I tried a portal device about 10 minutes ago and came across the same issue. Ah well. It wasn’t terribly expensive to make.

Happened to me as well last night. Used a portal device that dropped from event. Knocked down and nothing else happened.

I’m not getting anywhere with the Twisted Watchwork Portal Device. It knocks me over and then nothing. I have tried two times and my friend have also tried with the same outcome.

Also, me and my friend were in Lion’s Arc when trying to use it. I noticed that after a while I got overturned again for no apparent reason except perhaps from the portal device I had been using earlier.

The same thing happened to me while I was in Lion’s Arch. I submitted a ticket in-game.

I just tried it again in Blazeridge Steppes, same thing. I get the portal animation, my character gets knocked around a little, but I don’t go anywhere.

Were this fixed in the last night patch?

The first one only ported me to Butchers Block. The second one just put the cooldown on skills and nothing happened after that. My guildmates had similar issues.

Yeah, this just happened to me. First one ported me from DR to Caledon near a vista; second one just ported me onto my face.

Happed to me too, in LA.

Twisted Portal devices teleport my face right to the ground … i logged out of the game and when i logged back in i was knocked down again … it don’t teleport anywhere

Just used one of these and all it did was knock me over.
I guess the bug is that the tooltip should say “Double click for a rare chance to be taken to a random location in Tyria”.

A week from the update and we still don’t know if this item work as intended or it’s bugged, Groucharoo, pls, I know u are for sure full of work, but at least can u give us an hint about this item status. Btw thanks for your hard work

I tested again in LA while transformed, with a kite and minipet out, still no luck though.

I would recommend to wait to use until you have more then one, this works 100% of the time for me.

Would have been nice to know this some time before I used the 2 (yes, two) that I got as my terrible rng “OMG You got an exotic HAHA J/K” drop of the month.

Bet it counts against my DR as well, along with all these kitten tickets instead of yellows…. at least I haven’t seen a Support Token in about a week. That’s progress I guess???

I bought 4 twisted portal devices off of the tp, and the first one I used teleported me, but the one I used just after I used the first one did the animation, then finished the animation and I was still in the same area. repeated it a second time, happened exactly the same the second time. is this a bug or intended?

This happend to me and some friends last night. wasted around 10 of them.

Ditto, twisted Portal sent me no-where…just flopped me over. This was after I already used one.
