It seems that the damage pop-up/indicator for the Mesmer GS auto-attack is bugged out and keeps incrementally summing the previous damage. Checked the combat log and the damage it is actually doing is normal.
Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
Yup, it’s doing that.
All the channeled attacks are doing this if you use it consecutively without dodging, changing targets, or using another skill. Mesmer’s GS auto, Engi’s FT auto, and Thief’s P/P Unload are all doing this right now. I haven’t tried ‘chaining’ any of the other channeled attacks, but it seems like most of them will follow this pattern.
Yeah it was confusing when I first noticed it, then funny, and now annoying.
There’s another issue that is apparently affecting multiple classes as well, that sometimes you do no damage at all, and have to stop attacking and start again. This is occurring often in WvW, so far with doors and golems. Oddly, 2 golems were in a line, I had the far one targeted, but only did damage to the nearer one until I stopped attacking, and started again. I didn’t think to check the combat log >.<
