Just thought I’d give you a reminder to change the portal exit duration on the tooltip to 10 seconds. It currently says 20 seconds but only lasts for 10.

Historic Portal Nerfs:
Range
Cool Down
no. of players
Duration
_______

As a suggestion since Portal is getting nerfed into the ground and beginning to fail to be useful as a utility for mesmers. How about you revert portal back to 20s uptime and 60s CD and only allow passage through it once every 4s in pvp. This would limit it’s potential for having an entire team flood through the portal instantly. Bursting and then disappearing, but still maintain the utility for a mesmer as a skill and as a glamour.

This is not a new bug, it’s an old one. The Glamours duration trait actually brings all Glamours up to what they SHOULD be as determined by tooltip. Otherwise, they’re much shorter.

Maguuma [PYRO]
Oblyth, Mes ~ Nadeshiko Naito, War ~ Hwertu, Gua
Evenree, Necro (M) ~ Ran Still Died, Thief

Yeah, they should change the tooltip instead of fixing the fact that the actual skill should be 20 seconds -_-

How about buffing the portal, the mesmers are nerfed to nothing already.
Allow the skill to be active for 20s and leave it alone.

Portal is yet another skill that should have a separate PvP and PvE version. I wish they would stop being so stubborn and just split skills that need to be split. It’s like GW1 skill balancing all over again. It took them a while to reduce their subservience to PvP forum whiners, manipulators and split skills where the “needed” PvP nerfs unnecessarily crippled PvE play.

Also, it really hard to believe that updating tooltips requires more than editing a line of text. If they adjust a skill, changing the tooltip should be a required item on the check list before the change is pushed to the live game.
