Hello, I didn’t see any mention of this particular bug but sometimes when entering The Prestige my character stays visible. The channel is still going and I still get all of the effects of entering/leaving The Prestige but my character is completely visible, crouching, and holding the torch in front of himself. At first I assumed that maybe it was a client side glitch and no one else noticed. However, my brother playing on an alternate computer and some of my guild members confirmed that I was still completely visible. (And I have had people actively chase me down while in this state.) Has anyone else had this happen?

I also had this issue. I thought it was just lag or something. The mobs are ignoring me when I go to stealth, though. So I think it’s working and it’s just a visual glitch.

Am I right in thinking that taking damage in stealth will cause you to become visible? I’ve noticed that when I use The Prestige in a WvW situation, I am often visible because I’m under heavy fire. But normally in PvE I will remain invisible.

I believe stealth is handled differently by the game engine depending on whether you’re an ally or enemy.

The visual effect you see from stealth is just a representation of it; what matters is that you have the “Stealthed” buff in the buffs part of your screen. If you have that, you are not visible to enemies. (I believe the game engine checks for the Stealth buff and uses that to determine whether to display your character).

There are other things that will look like they break stealth but really don’t (Like blinking while stealthed)
