Recently (in the last couple of weeks) I’ve noticed that The Prestige (torch skill 4) has not been blasting fields.

Previously, it was decidedly inconsistent: the blast would detonate while the field was still up and sometimes I would get group swiftness (in the case of static fields), sometimes not. But recently (perhaps since the last patch or two?) I have been unable to blast any field with that skill.

Yes, I know that the blast is on the re-appear part of that skill, and I time it as such.

(That’s a whole different issue, the fact that mesmer doesn’t have an immediate blast skill of any kind. But I digress)

Anyone else having this issue?

No problems here, yesterday I was able to blast a lot of statics and other fields, as always.

The problem I see is most of fields don’t last as much as the skill does. For example, Static Field lasts for 4s, but I’ve been only able to blast during the first ~2s.

Interesting, so you can’t blast on the latter part of the field? That certainly seems like a bug in the field, then. Guess I’ll try to time it so that I blast in the first second or two of the field — I’ve been timing it such that it’s near the end of the field (our elementalist is only doing a quick “3-2-1” countdown, so I guess I need to start the skill right at the beginning of that count, see what happens).

Off topic, but why do mesmers only have a single blast skill, and a subpar one at that? Very difficult to time, I really wish they would move the blast to the beginning of the skill, or give us another blast skill of some kind. </whine>

When I use the the Prestige it blasts every time but the iMage is just way to slow for anything, its so slow and does little if any damage! Needs some adjustment.
