I notice that the blurred frenzy skill on the mesmer is typically wasted if you accidentally press the 2 button on your keyboard and when you are out of range of your enemy. I am not sure if this behavior is intended, or it is meant to work when auto-targetting is off. I find myself wasting the skill at least 80% of the time in combat. I think that this skill should work as long as you have an enemy selected rather than using it in thin air.

That’s not a bug, it’s working as intended. Some players have made use of the evade and would use it as a dodge as opposed to an attack.

Thank you for clearing this up, I am new to the mesmer so I have only used it in PvE. I thought the functionality was very odd because I found myself pressing #2 blurred frenzy by mistake a lot.
