We need an official response.
I can confirm both issues.
The funny thing is last time iZerker damage went down after a patch it took me a long time to come back to GS, and now…
it is way lower then before
root on 1 handed sword ability 3 is missing aswell
we need an answer here and might the nice moderator stop closing threads about this
this is a bug since it wasnt mention in the patchnotes

this is either a bugg or a stealth nerf.
if it is a stealth nerf it is a little insulting to not say so once it is noticed by every player using the weapon,.
locking a thread saying the “game play” has changed without actually saying that it was an intended change is odd to me. with that mindset all bugs are actually game changes because the game has changed.
I don’t know if the damage changed (I am assuming yes since a lot of people are complaining) BUT since Anet also forgot to mention some other nerfs in the last patch notes and players had to tell them to do so this may be a stealth nerf.
I hope it is not since I never had any problems fighting mesmers but you never know what Anet is doing next.
I agree my zerker is doing crap damage now.

You’re extremely fortunate if your zerker is only doing 20-40% less damage. I’ve seen much less. Normally hot for 6-7k… hitting for 1500-3k now. Makes me not want to play at all.
Confirmed. The berserker behaves extremely buggy. Again.
Please fix this as soon as possible or tell us at least it was intentionally changed THIS time.
Whirlwind Attack from Warrior’s Greatsword seems to be suffering the same reduction, coincidence? It’s a mystery!
if this a nerf i’d like to read official response.
If it is not a nerf we would like the acknowledgement that it is a bug and at least being looked at… Nerf or not… Saying something is better than nothing as this gets more and more infuriating.

Maybe someone who’s good at figuring this out can help.
Here are the links to how to calculate how much dmg a skill should do and the critical hit it should do as well. Hopefully providing some raw data will help. Also some screen shots of the current state of the damage (pre screen shots would help a lot too).

As I mentioned in this thread, we are aware of and tracking this issue. We did not make any intentional changes to this skill and are investigating what could have caused this.

I dont think that is a bug. I think the design of the attack is 3 invisble AoE attacks in a line – if your enemy is standing in only one circle, it get hit once. What happened on the return swing with 2x attacks is probably two overlapping AoE circles
Thanks Jason. I just made a video documenting the strangeness of iZerker.
It’s really inconsistent. It seems to frequently miss. Sometimes it stacks 1 bleed and I’ve seen it stack as many as 4?
I’m not actually sure how many times the zerker whirlwind should hit, I always thought it was three, but it could actually be four.
Another thing I noticed is the behaviour on a Heavy, Medium or Light target dummy. Maybe the hit boxes are affecting where the iZerker hits.
Hope this helps the developers.

iZerker should at least match a warriors whirl wind since they are essentially the same freaking attack one is just from an NPC.
so why should a fire and forget NPC deal the same damage as a warrior that has to go in?
what? i’m not even sure if you are serious or not. i said that damage wise it shouldn’t be as good as the warrior ability, nothing else. you quote and bash me. the only one who didn’t stay on topic in this thread was you by bashing me for ??? reason

Nope, it seems like it got even worse… my Berserker hits 1 to max 2 times now and does an overall dmg of about 1.5-2k.. it used to do an average dmg of about 4k. It sometimes does not even hit 1 time when i use it on a single target. Hope for a fix soon.

I just tried it out and you are right. It seems even worse now. I had some non crit attacks hit for as low as 1300 – which means only 2 of the 4 hits connected.
This is pretty frustrating.

Can confirm as well, still isn’t doing damage anywhere close to what it used to. Maybe that update wasn’t in regards to this bug. Perhaps it was the illusionary lea kitten ue we were having? Either way it’s getting kind of difficult to put the hurt on people with my GS now in WvW. Hoping for a fix asap.
Edit: wow even Anets language filter is busted (figures).

jep and now its weekend, then it takes 3 days till someone replies, looking into it blabla

Because its the same attack! Warriors have higher armor. Also how much does whirlwhind hit for? If its anything like our iZerker used to do it hit for around 5-6K on crits… Which is extremely fair considering that we have absolute joke for AOE damage and this was our best way for tagging mobs in DE’s and in WvW. Cuz chaos storm does absolutely joke damage.
I used to see 8-9k crits on greenie Elementalists.

Why would I want 3 Zerker clones hitting for so much. I’m doing just fine without them.
^You’d never have 3 zerkers hitting you in any pvp scenario (spvp or wvw). The only time you’d see that is in boss fights.
And also the iZerkers hit multiple times per attack! THEY ARE DESIGNED TO! But they are not! So this means it is a bug! It is making one of our most powerful phantasms a complete joke. Which is not okay. Imagine how kitten a warrior would be if their 100B hit only once. Or their whirlwind hit only once.
Yup this is quite sad right now… Had mesmers from other teams use the GS and I wasn’t even crippled… All cool for not getting killed but this is wrong…
It’s a major pain to do any large group WvW or PvP in its current state :/
Because it is our best source of AOE outside of shatters!
Shameless… This thread needs to stay on front page… It is killing people in PvP that the GS is this bugged out… Fix it.
