Guild Wars 2

I’m leveling a human female Mesmer. She’s currently wearing clothing that’s transmuted to look like a Phoenix top and Embroidered pants bottom.

edit: Her full ensemble is: ravaging magician mask of hoelbrak(hidden), ravaging student mantle (hidden),phoenix vest, ravaging magician gloves of the pack(hidden), ravaging embroidered pants of the traveller, and blessed steps

Using [The Prestige], [Decoy] or [Veil] causes my clothing to go invisible (full alpha) in my viewer. My character does not go invisible in areas not covered by clothing. Those areas that are covered do disappear properly. PVE enemies do seem to acknowledge me as invisible. I’m too tired to fight effectively in pvp for a test right now.

edit 2: The game is set for autodetect on graphics. It’s showing an average ping of 73 and 63 fps at the moment.

edit 3: I’m running windows 8. I tested with another player watching. They said that I went invisible to them each time. So the problem seems to be in my camera only.

The trouble may have begun when I equipped the new Balthazar outfit but changing outfits did not remove the issue.

I resolved the issue by restarting my game and computer.. duh

Hey, I was actually experiencing this issue and had a good laugh about it personally. I am not currently at home and able to play GW2 but I can quickly answer some of that :

-Balthazar outfit was equipped then unequipped
-No tonics
-No toys
-Did not commit to any wardrobe changes or play around with it I don’t think
-No equipment changes (maybe I switched from d/d to s/p on my thief)
-Outfit was balthazar’s. Armor set is a mix of striders/carapace mostly
-No changes to anything. Was just running around, can’t remember why I stealthed really.
-Eyes were showing up as well as skin. No armor/hair/underwear.

Go do the Asuran Thermanova lab fractal – You are transformed into an Asuran.

You can reproduce the going-invisible bug:
Go into the heat room ,
Die get teleported out of the room
Use Retry from checkpoint – you will be invisible for the duration of the fractal.

Solutions to solve: Go to char select → log back in → enter the fractal again.

i think this is most likely a hardware specific bug. some of my friends often turn invisible with that repro process or other randomish ways of dying. but your repro conditions dont turn me invisible and nothing i have ever done with either of my computers (old comp dead now) in that fractal ever turned me perma invis and ive definitely died by that method and many others.

plus i think thats a different bug from what OP experienced.
