Hello!

While I was completing the quest for the Michotl tribe located in Metrica Province (more specifically the Michoan Marsh) I came across a bug.

While using the gun that the NPC gives you to complete the quest, if you keep picking up the firefly and setting it down and re-sedating (re taming it) you continute to gain heart “credit” towards the quest.

I’m assuming that this isn’t an intended feature of the game, because you can just set the gun down, pick up the Firefly, and continue this until you complete the heart. (It took me all of 1 minute to finish the heart.)

Sadly, I didn’t take a video of this and I apologize. Thank you for taking the time to read and reply / fix this issue!

Probably not intended, but it doesn’t seem like a major issue to me. Throughout the game, there are many Hearts that can be completed much faster than average thanks to complementary events that spawn lots of foes that give credit to the Heart. In fact, this Heart in particular is one I complete typically by just waiting till the krait attack event starts and then doing that.

You can do the same thing in Plains of Ashford with the Renown Heart that asks you to pick up the mortar shells or whatever. I think there are a few different Renown Hearts that are rather easy to complete with such mechanics.

I’m not sure if this is considered a ‘bug’, or not. If so, it is probably rather low on the priority list of issues to address.

Either way, I felt that I should bring attention to it.

I agree. It’s up to ANet to decide if stuff is important to fix or not; all we can do is let them know.
