Hello all,

I have been SLOWLY gaining my Arah set (even with the current issues of blocked Meta Chains) and grabbed the headgear last night.

Along with this, I thought it would be a good idea to spruce up my characters coloring a bit! So, I went to the TP and forked out 2.5 gold for a Midnight Fire dye.

For some reason on all other pieces of armor the dye shows as a nice ‘Midgnight’ black and can almost be considered as ‘shiny’, but on the Arah pieces it’s BROWN!

I have attached a photo to show this.

Is this a known bug? Is it meant to be like this?

I understand you are busy, you guys always are and will be. But it would be good to just know if this is a recognized issue, if it’s being worked on, if it’s something that might be done possibly within the next few updates etc?

It might not be a bug. Colors can have different hue depending on the material it is on. I can have the same color on my whole armor and it would have different hues depending on if it is on something that look like mails and something that looks like leather and so on.

What you’re seeing is the pre-tinting of the armor itself. If the normal mapping and/or texture mapping of the pieces is tinted in any way, it alters the color of the dyes. Orange Dye on Berserker’s Scale Anything is different from Orange Dye on Pit Fighter’s Anything.

IF this is the case then it is ridiculous. Why on gods earth would I buy a shiny, dark black dye for so much money off TP when it turns out BROWN on other armor. Surely this can’t be called Midnight Black?? Or maybe it should be called:

Midnight Black Dye* (*only black on participating armor, brown, yellow or multicolored on others, subject to shiny availability).

Can I pretty please with cherries on top have an official answer on this. Otherwise, I just won’t ever bother buying dyes due to the uncertainty.

SO I understand that the ‘players helping players’ section is for just that. Then I understand that this is the ‘bug reporting’ forum. But I would love to ask why there is a Question feature on here if no one official responds to the issue raised?
