Mini's and Finishers become unselected
I noticed this problem with finishers too (haven’t equipped any minis yet, so can’t say on that one). it seems fairly random when it happens.

My finisher keeps getting reset quite often, right in the middle of a play session too. One stomp will have the finisher I have selected, the next will be the default spike.
Murdoc Jones – Brock Jones – Murdoch Jones – Jaedmara Jones
Warrior – Guardian – Ranger – Necro

Yup. Was just about to post this. For a patch that is supposed to improve miniature usage this is sad… It seems to happen on my thief and his mini holographic minotaur the most. But also happened to my princess doll once or twice too. Btw might want to clarify that its not due to mini suppression from a high population map.

This other thread mentions that the culprit of the deselection of minis is due to hitting “Apply” when changing a dye on your armor.
It seems applying dyes to your armor causes your selected mini to be cleared.
Perhaps select a finisher, dye a piece of armor and hit apply, and then check to see if your finisher has been deselected to see if this is the culprit regarding the finisher deselection issue as well.

I took a look at that, and after a bit of testing with dyes and transmutes, doing both of these things reset minis and finishers. so, really, clicking the apply button for anything, does it.
