I tried submitting an in game report and a ticket on the website and received no help from both attempts, so I’ll try this.

Before the wardrobe update, I had both my Set I and II completed and my Set III was at 45/49. Being an achievement collector, I wanted to get it done as soon as possible, but the last few minis (the exotics) were outrageously expensive. So I put if off.

The wardrobe update came and changed the way the mini achievements worked – making them require adding minis to the wardrobe. The three “new” mini achievements appeared in my achievement panel, giving me duplicates of the mini achievements (2 Set I achievements, 2 Set II achievements, 2 Set III achievements).

Although I was annoyed about having to do the sets all over again, I did not mind getting extra points. So I got Set I and II done. When I finally got around to doing ALL of Set III again, the final tier completed for ONE of the mini Set III achievements, but not the other! So at that point, I had (45/49) in my Set III collector, EVEN THOUGH THE OTHER EXACT DUPLICATE OF THE ACHIEVEMENT WAS COMPLETED.

I tried contacting A-net about it, but I didn’t get much help. Now that achievement is in the historical section in Retired Achievements.

Can I get some help here? Not having those delicious 10 points I rightfully earned burns my soul

They aren’t “duplicate” achievements; they are for doing two different things.

• The old achievements were for putting the relevant minis in your bank; you were able to sell them afterward.
• The new achievements are for unlocking the relevant minis for your wardrobe; you cannot sell them.

I’m sympathetic to your current achievement progress being bugged and support should help you resolve that, but it has nothing directly to do with whether you had any previous achievements or whether you had all the minis in your account vault before.

If you want individualized attention, you need to create a support ticket. The queue is currently backlogged with staff helping new players, so anet has asked people to wait a week. (See: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Tickets-for-Review-7-days-older-Part-2/4742091)

Posting on the forums and using the in-game /report tool is useful for letting the QA team know there’s an issue, but it won’t help you personally to get a quicker response.

I called them duplicates because they look exactly the same in the achievement panel. I am aware of the different requirements.

I’ll try putting in another support ticket, even though I tried before and did not get a satisfactory response.

My set I is bugged in just the same way. I contact support with a ticket and they simply said they were aware of the issue.

Paying a couple hundred gold for 10 AP and not getting it sucks and I hate seeing it on my ‘nearly completed’ but I guess they have bigger fish to fry :P

My support ticket got a reply back, but it was an automated response. I hope I get some concrete help soon.

It’s not really an “issue” though. The original collection that you had completed part of was for putting it in your bank collection tab. The collection was retired when they eliminated that functionality, much the same way they retire limited-time content achievements.

The new achievement is for actual unlocking in your wardrobe (which account-binds the item preventing you from selling it). While having the same name as the old one, its a completely different achievement and the requirements are different. You’re actually “collecting” the minis instead of flipping them when you’re done adding it.

As someone with an unfinished Mini3 original collection, I feel for you, but at the same time, it wouldn’t be fair for the people who actually have collected them and kept them to get the new achievement if they granted completion based on the old achievement.

The old collection wasn’t retired when the new collection was introduced. It was only retired afterwards. Figuring that the achievement would soon be retired, I put in tickets and such for help and did not get any. Now it might be too late.

ive got an issue with my set I as well, ive got all 54 but the achiev is stuck at 53/54. i put in a bug report and a ticket but no help from Anet at all so far
