Pls, remove double achievs for minis, or give the opportunity to gain early achievs, because I have 25/49 minis from set III and I can not get next achievs points without inserting them into the bank

It wouldn’t be that hard to recode the old achievements so that putting them in the wardrobe counts instead, right? I’m perfectly fine with taking a rollback and losing the ill-gained AP I’ve gotten from this.

no there are plenty of historical achievements that new people will never be able to get so rolling back the points on people who did earn the first lot of achievements wouldn’t be right. just move them to retired achievements.

I think that achievs should be available for people who have these minis physically (like other collections). Many people bought and sold back or borrowed minis from friends just for achievs which does not make them true mini collectors. So i think that old achievs should be deleted.

The problem with the duplicates is that it wouldn’t make sense to move them to the historic tab, given how the new wardrobe-based mini achievements are EXACTLY the same, from requirements to rewards. In my opinion it feels like ANet meant to switch over to the new achievements and completely remove the old bank-based mini achieves. Unfortunately it seems the transition fell halfway, leading to a terrible AP exploitation scenario.

Removing old achievements would be a terrible idea. I put a lot of effort and gold into collecting the minis for set 1. I gave one of those minis to a good friend later since it suited one of their characters perfectly and they couldn’t afford it. This does not invalidate what I put into the achievement. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I doubt Anet intended to remove them to start with. For one thing, it would be a terrible precedent, to start removing people’s achievement points, whether you think they’re deserved or not. For another, it would put a lot of people who did legitimately earn the achievements out, just because they didn’t hang onto all of the minis forever after getting the achievement. If you get them all together at once? You’ve collected them, plain and simple. You don’t have to keep them forever. That’s not collecting – that’s hoarding.

I sort of agree with Qarinus – I spend the time and money to collect all the minis for sets 1-3. But I kept the minis. So I was able to do the new achievements sort of quickly. (Sheesh, right mouse click, put into wardrobe, move mouse to yes, I really want to do this, and back again – way too much mouse movement!).

Yes, I am a hoarder.. or better known as a packrat. Also made all the crafting backpacks without ever having to buy anything but that silly starter frame.
