I’ve encountered a very weird bug, and the only logical explanation I could come up with is that the Greatsaw has a soundfile that has been misplaced in a very weird way .
So here’s the deal.
I have a Greatsaw on one of my characters, and I’ve always found it weird that the Greatsaw has an idle chainsaw rumble sound when you go into combat, but it doesn’t make any “extra” spinning up kind of sound when you attack with it. (You know, like when you cut through a tree in real life, which would be AWESOME by the way.)
Well I found that exact sound that I felt was missing, in a very weird scenario.
I was playing my warrior alt on the Durmand Priory storyline, and I entered Shards of Orr personal quest, which features Tegwen and Carys and I have to assist them in killing a bunch of risen, and a lieutenant. I noticed the spinning chainsaw sound while in combat with the risen. Shortly I found out what the source was. It was Carys (or probably her weapon?)
I also found out what triggered it. Everytime Carys went into combat, the sound played, and during combat it randomly played there too (not frequently like once or twice, not including the time when she enters combat)
I’ve made a few screenshots of her and her weapon, to maybe help track down the bug and make it an auto-attack sound for the Greatsaw. (yes, THAT weapon made the chainsaw sound) http://imgur.com/a/D1X9a
Unfortunately I couldn’t make a recording of it because the quest ended before I got a chance and there is no option to replay story quests.
Hopefully the information provided helps in the issue, and fingers crossed that the sound gets added as the Greatsaw’s auto-attack.
