I’ve noticed that for the past couple of days (at least), while I’ve been getting the ‘Daily Completion’ award, my total achievement points (currently at 24,120) is not being credited.

I’m not talking about getting any points over and above the requirement (3/3) .. that is, if I do all the general ones, and all the ones in WvW, I’m not expecting anything additional — those are just things that I choose to do for whatever reason. It’s the base, which should be 10 points per day, that is not advancing. As a general rule, I’ll mix and match … do one or two out of the general area, and then the same out of WvW. I do get the daily reward (2g), but that’s all that’s been registering.

In truth, I’m not sure how long this has been going on, but only noticed it in the past day or so. I would submit a bug report, but there’s not a specific item (or anything that seems close, for that matter) for that.

There is a cap of 15,000 for daily and the old monthly achievements combined. did you reach the cap?

You have got to be kidding me. Yes, I know you’re not, but what a stupid thing. I have an old monthly (which is permanent, even though that’s been discontinued) of 1,533, which effectively reduces my daily cap to what I’m stuck at now … 13,467. Guess someone may not have thought through the ramifications of putting in this cap, as it removes any incentive for playing (well, doing the dailies) after reaching this point.

For some, the rewards and the 2 Gold are enough of an incentive to complete the easy Dailies.

If not for you, then you can skip them, and get right to all the other content that interests you.

Can also agree while the lack of further AP might seem putting off, the other rewards often offset the clamp, so daily is still somewhat profitable, just not from the AP perspective. If you need AP, then you’ll have to take on what you haven’t accomplished yet.

I’m far from that cap, but I see some use from the rewards via daily completionist and daily tasks, even if you go over the 3/3 for completionist, such as the guaranteed tome of knowledge if a dungeon gets selected for the PvE.

You can get yourself into the 27700 range with current achievements and when seasonal events occur. Otherwise you will be paying ludicrous amounts of gold and spending long periods of time getting 1 and 2 points for achievements.
