Ok so i logged out yesterday knowing i had around 1g 60s, I logged in today and noticed 1g was missing also my armor i bought and equipped was in my bag and unequipped. I had items on that i had removed and sure i salvaged :S. Now i no it’s not alot of gold but could someone please look into this if it’s a bug i don’t want it happening again with more. I’m not asking for anything to be returned just looked into thanks.

There was a rollback for todays worth of gaming. Unfortunately.

Why was that? That’s a bit unfair to all of us that spend time making gold.

I have no clue, people are saying that in the game.
It seems the servers crashed, all at once, and they had an old savestate going because they never made a backup for today? does that make any sense to you?

No tbh you think that they would have things in place to make sure everyone chars, items and gold are safe. This is why they should have massive open betas months before the game is out, open the flood gates see what blows up and fix it before the game is released.

I lost 6 gold and 80 silver from the trading post bug…

Well it’s not on if people are losing that sort of gold, i have got to say i don’t like how slow the AH responds to buying and selling items.

I am missing 200 gems a dye pack and about 2 gold as well as the item listing s i made with the 2 gold. I am upset.

Well the whole game broke today. A lot of people lost a lot, so.. it is partly relevant.
And yes I see your point, sometimes it is unavoidable though, and you can’t patch everything, but I’d like to see a statement from ANet soon.

I just logged in and I’m missing most of my currency on all characters. From 3.5g to 53copper. Not even enough to travel to the waypoint XD
Is this an actual bug?

I dont know but i think we should have our gold rolled back as compensation or something if that is possible.

Please fix this issue…

It just happend to me aswell, had around 60s earlier today and now after servers went down im stuck with 2s again yay! I hope this will be compensated somehow, but i guess we dont have much to show for. And i didnt use the Trading post.. just vanished somehow after the crash.

The trading post is back up but still no money…

I lost about 1,5 gold on the trading post an hour before they took it offline. Now its up but still no sight of the items I bought or the money I lost. Making money in this game already isnt that easy, but this is just annoying, that was 75% of all the money I had. >:(

Why are they not replying? Why?

I don’t get it? Do they not even care about those who lost gold? Horrible support…

Similar issue here too. I’m pretty sure I bought 80 Jute in the Black Lion Trading Company for ~23 silver at 05:00 am Wednesday (09/05) Pacific Time and it never showed up. I’m not upset or anything, I just wanted to see if others had this problem and that I’m not going crazy, lol.

So I have been looking at the forums and I see now that I am not the only one; nor am I going crazy. So just to throw it out there, I am really POed.

I have been playing the game now since the few days before launch and EVERY day that I log in, I am missing more and more silver (Note that I say silver and not gold because I haven’t been able to dedicate the time to even be able to play that long.)

Everytime I log in, I am sitting very depressed at 3 silver… I have never used the trading post, I have never mailed gold to anyone, and I have never deposited money in the bank. WTF! I even went through the effort of making a brand new password that has never been used on anything (I know that I am stating the same thing twice in this sentence but that is just how frustrated and shocked I am.)

I would like 2 things from the team:

1. A response that this is either a known issue or that at the very least it is an issue that is being investigated by a dev
2. FOR IT TO STOP!

I don’t care about what is lost… I just want to be able to financially gain some levels here. Contact me in anyway you see fit for more information and yes I did fill out a full bug report.

just letting you guys know that the item i’m buying has now shown up and i now have my gold back, how everything goes the same way for you guys, so don’t worry too much

I have murdered hundreds of Quaggans ever since this bug. The little one who appears to be sleeping on the “Down for Maintenance” screen is the one who stole our money. I will keep murdering his kins until he agrees to give us back our money, he is the owner of the BLTC afterall. I will not do a single DE that involves helping Quaggans, let them be captured and sacrificed by Kraits.

I have lost 10g while placing orders on trading post. I had trusted Arenanet for 4years during GW1. They now have lost my trust completely because they did not even make a single announcement about whether we will be getting our gold/items/gems back.

I will get over it, but when fans of Arenanet and GW2 will claim the game is perfect, I will remind them of this day 9/5/12, where everyone who traded lost their gold and Arenanet just did not even acknowledge that there was a bug and money disappeared(they acknowledged that the trading post is a big buggy, but no mention of lost gold/items/gems)

As the recent announcement states, “If you have any items or gold that you’re waiting for, those will be delivered later tonight.”
