I’m not quite sure if this post should be in Account & Technical Support or here,

I’m pretty sure I have 9 Tyria mastery points missing, I have counted all my achievement, I should have 30 but I got only 21.

I’ve posted this bug yesterday. No response so far. I also opened a ticket and sent bug report through client.

I’ve counted all of my completed achievements with red mastery icon too and i’m missing around 11 points. That is ALOT.

Since there was no response to my bug report and support ticket i want to share this here again, so more people will pay attention and hopefully devs too.

I have a problem with missing mastery points in Tyria. I went through all my completed achievements and wrote down ones which have Tyria Mastery Icon in their description. I am not alone, there are other people having this problem(including my guildies).

Here is my list(completed achievements with red mastery icon):

So i should have 35 Tyrian Mastery Points, but in reality now i have 24 Mastery Points points. I’ve added a screenshots for reference.

19 points in legendary mastery
3 points in pact commander mastery
1 point in fractal mastery
1 point available

Which gives us total of 24 points. That means that i’m missing 11 mastery points.

Bump. Still no response. I still don’t know if it’s a bug or it should be this way.

I also submited a bug report; I gues the rest of the expac is borked enough that this is a low priority since other ppl do not seem to have this prob like we do.

This didn’t even occur to me until I saw this post, so I went to check my account. I’m also missing Central Tyria mastery points – 10 of them.

At launch, my count was at 23 available, and that first day I went to do Karka Queen, so then I received that one… so my count stands at 24 right now because I haven’t done anything else to work towards them.

But just from the Hero Achievements alone, I would have at least 23 points (I don’t have Savior of Tyria or Dungeons Discovered completed).

But I also have all the ascended armor and the Emperor’s Wardrobe achievements, 5 out of 7 of the Silverwastes, and the 2 Tequatl ones. I also have the Hidden Garden JP completed.

I don’t have any living story ones (from Gates to Maguuma to Point of No Return) because at the time that set of stories came out, I was having trouble with my computer, so I didn’t bother to do much more than the first run through. I assumed that this was the reason my number was so low at launch.

I took screencaps to use later if needed, but I don’t see much use in posting them here right now.

I just checked my account and found I should have 25 mastery points and I only have 19. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

got Achievements:

Retropectrive Runaround (Jumping Puzzle Silver Wastes)
The Executioner (Silver Wastes)
Ruler of Shinies (Dry Top)
Dive Master (Exploration)

Slaughter in the Swamp (Tequatl)
every Hero-Achievement (25 give one Mastery Point)
and 12 Fractals of the Mists-Achievements (all exept Shockwave Skipper and Weapons tester)

= 43 Achievements with one Mastery Points – 6 of them missing

I should have 15 Tyria Mastery Points and I count only 11.

All of the missing ones seem related to personal story achievements of alts that I have done over last few days that have not counted (received achievement (eg. Legacy Code) but not mastery point).

I’m about 10 shy from the math I did. I submitted a ticket and was told to file a bug report….or post on forums, where this issue has yet to be acknowledged.

Apparently some Tyrian Mastery Points have not been awarded to my account retroactively with HoT release and (judging from posts on other forums with people at a loss about how to get the Tyrian Points) also for others.
I seem to be missing 14 points (if I counted correctly).

I currently have 29 Tyrian mastery points (11 of which are spent).
Looking at the details of completed achievements allows one to see which ones are supposed to have awarded mastery points, for the non-completed ones you can see it more easily.
From my counting the total no. of Tyrian Mastery Points that can be earned is 80 (might be off a bit, if I miscounted or if locked achievements do not show potential points).
Here are detailed numbers for the different achievement categories (with the achievements I have completed and should have been awarded Mastery Points for in parentheses):
Story Journal: 16 (8)
General: 45 (31)
[Silverwastes: 7 (2); Dry Top: 1 (1); Hero: 25 (24); Explorer: 2 (1); Fashion: 1 (0); Jumping Puzzles: 1 (0); Bosses: 5 (1, Karka after release); Triple Trouble: 2 (0); Tequatl: 2 (2)]
Fractals: 14 (3)
Collections: 5 (1)

So I should have 43 mastery points (1 of which is Karka after release), but I only got 29.

I don’t think it’s one specific category missing (since none of my completions of them really add up to exactly the 14 points I am missing), but rather a random achievement here and there…

I just completed “Graduation Day” Level 10 Asura personal story. Received 10 achievement points but no mastery. Achievement panels show that one should have been awarded.

I thought I had missed out on a point when completing the human story (level 10) but was not sure. So this time I looked at my mastery point panel before and after, to be sure.

I filed a bug report in game.

As expected the last patch didnot solve this problem. Dear ANet I hope it does not take as long as fixing the map-completion rewards (I got my Southsun Cove reward yesterday…), Hall of Monuments or personal Quest in Orr….

I have this problem as well, and I am very disappointed by the lack of any response or acknowledgment from the devs. Support says it’s out of their hands, and I get it, but some indication that this is a genuine priority and will be fixed soon would go a long way to alleviate a lot of frustration. At this rate I’m worried it will never be resolved, and those of us that are bugged will never be able to finish the mastery tracks. I really hope a fix is in place soon, because it is deeply frustrating to spend hours trying to earn more points only to end up with nothing to show for it, and no ability to advance the mastery tracks. Please, please fix this soon. We worked really hard for those points, and it’s so saddening to be left in the dust.

Same here it seems. I only miss one achievement which rewards a tyria mastery point (fractal weapon collection, it is bugged). But I only have 65 mastery points in total, whereas I should have 80 if I counted correctly.
So I am missing 16 tyria mastery points.

Just wanted to point out that this bug is not fixed. Weeks after HoT relase Im still missing about 10 mastery points and we didnt get even single word from Anet regarding fix. It would be nice if w get at least some information when hotfix will be applied.

It should be top priority for dev team to fix this issue asap but for whatever reason its not.

I’ve been trying to earn some more Central Tyria mastery points of late as I used up the ones I had, but yesterday decided to get my Asura through her first personal story chapter. Just had a look at my hero panel and apparently she earned one for Graduation Day but I received no mastery point for doing so.

Doing a bit of delving into the Hero category, I see that I apparently earned mastery points previously for various personal story steps although as they were completed before HoT’s release I have no way of knowing whether they were applied to my account or not. In fact, most completed story achievements claim you earned a mastery point for them but before you do them, they don’t say that you’ll earn one. For example, I have a completed achievement for becoming a full member of the Order of Whispers which apparently granted me a mastery point, however the uncompleted achievement of becoming a full member of the Priory doesn’t state it gives one.

Now I’m confused: are the completed achievements correct and I’ve not had mastery points applied which I’m owed, or are the completed achievements wrong in stating that they give a mastery point? Either way, there’s a problem here.

Hmmm… this is interesting. Gotta check mine when I get home because I did every story step with every race (see my signature ahahha), Jumping Puzzles, Explorers and such and I keep myself thinking that I have few Masteries indeed.

I’m aware of this issue as well. Three weeks ago i’ve sent Anet a ticket explaining my situation about not getting the tyria mastery points from these Achievements. Since then i haven’t seen any Anet’s comment regarding this issue.
What bothers me is that if you don’t get the mastery points from Racial/Order Achievements you must buy and complete some of the LS2 episodes in order to fully unlock all tyria mastery tracks. And this really sucks =/

Not your fault, search has been broken for ages now. And yes, there are a few other threads about the issue but, ironically, I can’t search for them neither I recall where they are.

Many people have reported this and I haven’t seen ANet even acknowledge it.
I’m short about 14 Mastery Points.

The Going for Gold Achievement in SW that rewards a Mastery point is also bugged. Collected the 30 lost gold badges but only got credit for 8. Drat! I wanted that mastery point! lol

I completed the three Sylvari personal story achievement for the first time just a few days ago. Contrary to what my Achievement Panel now states I received no Mastery Points. It would be terrific if someone from Anet would comment on this. I assume it is a bug.

I’ve noticed this as well. I have been working on this achievement off and on for a while, When I went back into it after HOT I noticed I no longer have credit for some of the badges I previously completed.

I just reached Tyria world completion on my first character. I received the achievement and mastery point (also the zone completion chest for Divinity’s Reach where I finished), but I did not receive any kind of reward chest for world completion. Instead, I received duplicate chests for Dry Top and Southsun Cove. Not the reward chests I was expecting.

Is this a known issue? I hope it gets fixed soon. I have been looking forward to working towards crafting a legendary weapon, and I need my rewards as part of that process.

Often times we get people coming here complaining about map completion when often it’s on their end. This thread is describing a simillar issue and some regular forum posters assume it’s not a bug.

But this seems to be a trend now and really appears to be a bug relating to the fix they are trying to do for people who already have map completion, and tried to get map completion awards for HoT maps, dry top, silverwastes. People with previous 100% map completion would not get rewards for doing those maps. Now it seems getting the original 100% map completion is giving the incorrect award. So obviously this is a major problem.

You should create a support ticket. Also did you have dry top and south sun already 100% completed before getting world 100% complete? Include that in your support ticket as well.

According to the Wiki there are currently 80 possible Central Tyria Mastery Points. I have not completed 22 of them. There has been discussion about the Personal Story Masterys not counting but even if you add those 8 achievements, worst case scenario is that I’m missing 30 out of 80. Which should leave 50 spendable mastery points for the Central Tyria line. The problem is I have spent 40 and have only 4 remaining. I’m currently unable to finish my masterys because of this bug.

I read about people having this issue a couple weeks ago and it hasn’t even been addressed by anyone at a-net on the forums. For anyone who reads this, double check to make sure you aren’t missing any mastery points from achievements that you have completed and never got credit for. I’m biased but this is a problem that needs fixed or at least explained by a-net.

I also filed a report and got immediate response saying they acknowledge the problem. I think they’re purposely not prioritizing the fix to push some LS2 sales. If it’s really true then it’s gross.

Has anyone got a response back on this yet? I also have at least 3 missing tyria mastery points.

This thread was made 25 days ago and more have been made since. I still haven’t seen ANet acknowledge this.

DEAR DEVELOPERS , when you guys can fix it ?

At this point I feel like they’re willing to let it continue because it forces people into the new HoT areas instead of central Tyria and specifically forces them to play the new content.

I’m extremely frustrated that ANET hasn’t said ANYTHING after a month of people reporting it. I know I have, a bug report every day it continues and a ticket every week or so. No response to any of them, not even the canned email I’m supposed to get saying they even got my ticket. I’ve got the bar maxed out and no more points to unlock a new one.

ANET doesn’t seem to care about core Tyria anymore now that they have their shiny new maps and PvP tourney’s coming up :/

They probably don’t care because it forces players to go to the new maps :/
I have the same issue and have been diligently filing bug reports and tickets, but as far as I know no one has gotten a reply yet that they even acknowledge the issue exists.

If you actually submit a ticket, you always get a response (unless your email provider filters mail from ArenaNet for some reason).

The CS Team may not have a solution, but they will certainly acknowledge your concern.

How does it force people into HoT maps, when HoT Mastery Points (or XP) don’t count towards Core Tyria Mastery tracks?

If you aren’t receiving the responses from the CS Team, then you might consider reading the Stickies in Account Support regarding missing emails.

Hmmm… I think I worded my thoughts poorly, sorry! I will try to do better.

I meant that for some people, once they get an 80 character and start the whole Mastery Point process, it’s exciting to finally fill a progress bar. But if you can’t progress core Tyria because of bugs, you may as well stay in the HoT maps and fill the much more easily gained Mysteries there instead. Raids are there, and all the new content they want to push, and while there is tons of stuff to do in Tyria it’s irritating to get XP for something that won’t fill the bar and give you that satisfaction.

You are right though, and “forced” is not the right word I should have used. It’s more like there is more incentive for people to do the HoT maps if the Tyria stuff remains broken :/

I filed a bug report about too. I know they said they are aware of the problem, but it makes it hard to progress in Tyria-Mastery tracks. I’m missing 12 points and I think my GF is missing even more. I hope this gets fixed soon.

I just completed Straits of Devastation but then I moved to Divinity’s Reach before opening the reward chest and bam, it was gone. Then I completed Divinity’s Reach to see if it happens again. Chest appeared above my mini-map but I transitioned to another zone before opening it and again, the reward chest was gone. Please provide me with the reward chests and fix this issue for good!

I wouldn’t hold my breath hoping for official answers. The map completion reward issue that happened a few weeks ago had got no response in the main thread discussing it for weeks, but it ended being fixed at least.

Huh no sure if it was a merge or you posted it directly here but… how does your issue have to do with the one discussed here? If it was the result of a merge then ignore this post. If not then maybe it would be better to make a new thread for that issue.

That is THE shiny Truth my friend!!. The easiest and fastest way to have those mastery points is to buy LW… so welcome to Anet’s sales strategies.

Bumping this and getting it back on track…

I recently noticed that I was also missing Hero points. To be specific, I’m missing at least 12 of them, with all of them coming from the Hero tab and related to ‘completing story mission’ achievements for the different races. I’ll need others to confirm, but that might be a good place to start looking first.
