Misspelled COUNTRY!
So … its been 3 almost 3 weeks now … and NOTHING … not even “We will look in to it.”
It is interesting that not even AronaNet`s PR department is not responding to the received e-mail on this topic.
Happy New Year and all the best in 2016!
Do be aware that much of the company is on vacation.
I’ve not received even the automated response on my tickets; I imagine only a small crew are working, and the minor stuff is on the waiting list.
If you receive no response to your ticket by the end of next week, you might consider updating it. If you did not create a ticket, but just sent in a email to one of the ArenaNet addresses, a reply may not be forthcoming.
Good luck.
Of course this should have been spellchecked before it went on the website. Given past experience, it takes ANet a while to update details like that — I believe most of their website design is outsourced to another firm and even legit bugs (like spelling errors) sometimes require back & forth.
So the reality is: I would expect it to take 4-5 weeks to get fixed. That’s not ‘right’; it’s just the way things seem to work with websites sometimes.

The automated response system is on vacation ?

IC might have been referring to the pro forma responses that follow the completely automated “we got your ticket request”, e.g. when they say “yeah we know about bug X” (when you were really asking about the very similar bug X-prime). Those typically arrive within a few hours after the auto-reply; they have been slower these last few weeks.
Hi.
Thank You both for your replys.
I did take in to the consideration the holidays and “some one else is doing this for us”. the thing is that I first reported the same mistake when Gem card vendors were first announced and that was some time ago.
Between then and now nothing changed.
It takes 1 person with acces to the database less than 10 min to do the querry and edit (I assume there must be a DB behind the drop down menues).
People do make mistakes, but when a mistake is pointed out …. well you would expect it to be fixed … this is not a bug or a glich that take weeks to find in all of those lines of code it is a simple value change! And this is not a simple casual word that most people do not even notice but is a CONTRYS name that represents a certan amount of people, their traditions, way of life, etc. even if they are not playing GW.
I might be the only Slovenian player that cares about this mistake, or I might be the only one that by chance found this, I may even be the only one cheking the Bug forums, but still a COUNTRYS name is a COUNTRYS name!
This should be fixed and ANet should not allow it self this kind of mistakes.
Nope, I was referring to the automated ‘We got your request’ responses. Moot point now; they are back from vacation.
I’m so sorry that happened, Medex! We’ve fixed this, and apologize for the error.
(BTW, I’ve been to Slovenia — lovely country. And this man is one of the atheletes I most admire in the world! I understand he’s something of a national hero. I got tears in my eyes when I saw him present the Stanley Cup in Slovenia.)

Thank you and keep up the good work!
Off topic: I was there and saw the cup, it was enormous! He sure got far from kicking but on home ice
… btw we have a bunch of atheletes overseas … at least there they get the apriciation they deserve. The NHL season usualy kills my game time though :P … and on the country thingi … if you spend less than 21 days in our small country you have missed a looooot
Thank you for your work again.
Regards,
Medex
Good to hear from you Medex. And I’m glad we could get that spelling error fixed!
(I have never seen the Stanley Cup live, so I envy you! And I agree, I need to spend more time in Slovenia! )
