Ok, so I have both keys on the red borderland WvW jumping puzzle. I can unlock the Mistwrought Vault door but the chest will not unlock.

I do have both halves of the key, and have even relogged and came back. It won’t open. Someone else is also standing here and saying they have the same exact problem. There were people in my party who could open it so…

Yeah, something is bugged.

I don’t know for sure (complete and total guess here), but would having the keys inside of an Invisible Bag/Safe Box prevent them from being detected/used to open that chest?

Sorry, I have no clue how it works, just throwing out an idea as you mentioned others do not have the problem while you and another person do. Just seeing if this might be something you both have in common preventing it functioning properly.

The wiki also has a note saying:
“The chest can only be opened once per day per puzzle (per account), regardless of how many keys you may have.”
Not sure if this pertains to you or not.

Yeah, they are in standard bags, haven’t gotten the achievement or opened the box today. Just tried doing it with a second character and that character also can NOT open the chest or get the achievement…

Can I ask what key you have bound to interact?
Would you consider temporarily binding a different key to see if it will interact with the chest?

Default Key; F. I can open other chests fine, so far just having the problem with this one.

I almost wonder if it is some weird bug with walking into the vault while it was opened by someone else first and not having the key halves. Going to wait to till daily reset and try again.

Led my wife through and she was able to open everything fine.

Just tried and was able to get the chest no problem with the same key peices I got earlier today.

I would be willing to bet it had something to do with me walking into the vault without having the pieces first. Maybe some weird trigger that was not suppose to happen.

Well that is, indeed, weird. I wouldn’t expect the 24hr reset to trigger unless the chest was actually opened, not when you enter the room if somebody else let you in. Glad to hear that it seems to be sorted out.
