Mob respawn time still awfully fast.
I’m sorry you find it frustrating.
In contrast, I think the respawn rate is often too slow, as there won’t be any foes when I come by after someone else has cleared out the area right before.
Of course, it also depends on the fight and the map and the context. There are probably some spots when nearly every might agree the respawn rate is too quick and some that are too slow.
Maybe you can point out a couple of the specific spots that concern you. Perhaps we can offer you some tips about handling the particular encounter(s) so that it’s not as difficult for you.
PS regardless, the rate is by design, so your post is more of a suggestion rather than a bug report.
Huh, I can’t recall any “quest” that asks you to kill “xy named elite/rare mob”. Can you be more specific where you are having issues? I have seen areas with stupidly fast respawn yes but mostly it’s fine across the game.
Also, if you mean things like group events, well those were really meant to be done in group, that means you going to have a hard time soloing them, and usually in events like these is where fast respawn usually occurs.
The only place I can think of with very high spawn rate is Bitterfrost Frontier.
Oh if you are actually referring to events then some have very stupid scaling. GW2 doesn’t really have quests so it’s hard to tell.

Hi,
Went down to lower level area, because I still like 30-40% done clearing with even the lower level maps.
Kessex Hills, Viatan lake underwater (helping the little guys in the water, started the “quest” down at the bottom entrance). And there was a worm boss in Manefire Hills. The difference was between the two encounter is that the second one with the worm there were like 5-6 players doing “together” so the ads were not problematic to kill.
Maybe I time the respawn time but I could bet it is kind of general and like 60 seconds or 1.2, 1.3 mins tops?
We can argue that having no mobs around can be also frustrating since other players come to the area do the are quest so they need to hunt more mobs. However the maps, areas quiet big for the area quests so I doubt that would be a trouble to “move forward 100 steps and kill the ads over there”.
Again, checking how many players are in a certain area is quiet easy job. Changing respawn time based on player amount in the area per mob rarity/challenge is again, a very easy task to set up.
I’ve already posted such bug report years ago. Got some official replies that they working on it, and in general it is “okay”. At the time some players also said yes it is like that it is ok, just move over to an area where more people are playing.
And I don’t want to, because I would like to play alone and also play the lower level content as well.
If I’m alone with this, fine I can move along. I still think this is a basic aspect of questing in an mmo, to set the spawn of mobs “right”.
OP, are you using zerker gear?
sometimes it feel like this game is design around one gear stat sometimes.
So you are referring to events? There are group events and non-group events. Soloing a non-group event shouldn’t be an issue but while some people can solo some group events some of the time not everyone can solo all of them all of the time.
