Im sure many people have reported this but im posting anyway to express my annoyance. I was at an underwater skill point (near the Royal Forum wp) which is guarded by a veteran. Now I dislike underwater combat as it is but to get the veteran mob to 20% only to watch it swim away and regain health to full whilst gettin the “invulnerable” floating text EVERY TIME really kittens me off! I tried fighting it in a few places because i thought maybe the terrain was to blame but it looks like bad coding.
Please address this bullkitten before “I do a William Foster”(Michael Douglas, Falling Down..anyone?…)

I’m going to back this. Underwater combat is horrible and only made much MUCH worse by this bug. Oh and hey here is an idea if I cannot hurt the mob maybe make it so it cannot hurt me. Nothing like attacking a mob and seeing invulnerable floating over its head while its still hurting you.

P.S. the Elite whisper strike team in the Bashing Bauxite Alchemicals quest are as dumb as a box of rocks. The should try to do the quest rather then pull tons of random mobs.

I have to agree…there is something very, very wrong somewhere in the code for underwater pathing. I did a bunch of heart quests and a few skill points in the last two days that were under water and it’s horrible how mobs go invulnerable when you’re in the middle of a HUGE body of water, there are no obstructions of any kind anywhere even remotely close to you, you’re fighting a mob more or less at melee range, and then suddenly it becomes invulnerable and still keeps hitting you while it rapidly regenerates its own health. Considering that every class I’ve played has incredibly weak underwater skills/abilities (relative to their on-land ones) it’s already painful to get into the water, but the constant invulnerability bug just makes it that much worse.

Note: “constant” means that around 25% of the mobs you engage under water will become invulnerable at some point during the combat even if you are fighting in a location where the mob always has a simple straight line vector path to you…you make sure there are no environmental obstructions and you stay away from the surface and the bottom so the mob’s path is a simple vector from its xyz position to your own.

Glad I read this. I thought it was working as intended and planned to post in the suggestions area. I think this invulnerability bug may be linked to the asininely tiny kiting range in this game. I too have experienced what the OP did as to fighting underwater and having the mob become invulnerable.

In the DE in SE Kessex Hills where you release the villagers captured by Krait there are cages on top of the platform out of the water, the Krait there are all invulnerable when you first arrive. At least when they attack you there you can fight back.
