Daily ori runs are nice. Except when the gem store items that you paid actual money for stop working as intended.

Screenshot shows the axe/pick I use to mine, and it shows the majority of the run was fine, save for the few ruined ore/ruined logs in the middle of my inventory. I did not change out my pick/axe, I simply, every so often, got ruined pieces instead of the intended ancient wood or ori

This is absolutely unacceptable. I request a fix immediately. This is stuff from your gem store. This is stuff people pay actual money for

Yeah, this happens occasionally for me aswell. I at first speculated that it had to do with when I had low health, but sometimes it worked even if I did have low health. Someone else told me it had to do with a trait/sigil/rune proc’ing (can’t remember exactly). I don’t think it has to do with the gathering tool itself though, since I believe this used to happen back when I didn’t have the gem store ones aswell.

I’ve had these since the first they were able to be purchased and this is the first time I’ve ever seen it happen. I haven’t changed my armor/runes/sigils on any of the equipment I had on in weeks, and it’d surely have done it before now if that was the cause.

Well, did you change a trait then maybe? I know they moved a couple of traits around for the halloween patch.. No idea if that’s the cause but still.

What Larkir described is the absolute truth, for a while, I had a super lazy engineer build that had about 7 automatic triggers for effects when I was in combat, and the first would proc at 75% or when critically hit.

I got more ruined stuff from nodes than you could count, simply because I didn’t kill things attacking me, or wasn’t stealthy enough. Orr is especially bad for this so just double check your traits and you runes to be sure.

The only thing I could think of is Shrug it Off procing, but that wouldn’t make any sense since it can only happen every 30 seconds or so.

Wouldn’t make sense for 2-3 per node.

I just bought the Molten Pick, and at 800gems, considering how many normal picks I can buy for this, I’ll be very cranky if it starts ruining ori on me.

Guild tells me it IS the proc in battle bug, and the shrug it off trait is causing it.

People avoid harvesting while in combat for a reason. Certain attacks (possibly crits?) will cause you to drop your harvesting tool and switch to your main weapon while still doing the harvesting animation – ruining whatever it is that you harvest.

Some skills (including those triggered by traits) have been purported to ruin harvests as well, but I have yet to see any reproducable common links personally.

This applies to all harvesting tools, not just the infinite ones.
