The final achievement for the monthly has turned into a “???” and has an unfilled bar.

I wonder if this will prevent people from completing the monthly?

Also, ironically the patch stated it was supposed to fix these random resets too…

question – did you notice that the monthly achievement was reset yesterday? when 1 month from gw2 going live was up, the achievement reset and I was able to complete the xp achievement and then get to 70 monthly events and some insane amount of salvages before it was completely reset yesterday – coincidentally exactly as the daily achievement reset itself.

Same for me…. I had the monthly almost 50% done.

Got 100xp today before the update. Now all I see is “???” as well.

Same here, I got 100K Exp for the month of October and now only see “???”
The “???” doesn’t get updated when you earn experience.
I have completed Sept monthly long before the monthly got reset on Sept 30th at 5pm PST. I was earning October monthly after the reset and had maxed all the experience tiers. After tonight’s patch, only the experience isn’t showing correctly and with the error of “???” The 100K experience I have completed seems to be reset whereas other October monthly progress I have earned up to this point are not effected by this bug.

Same story as those above. Earned my 100k xp now its reset to “???” with no progress while all other monthly acheivment requirements have maintained their progress.

Yup. I earned my 100k xp last night and now it’s all gone. Whyyyy…

I missed this achievement last month so I burned myself hard grinding out 100k exp in one zone no teleports so that I would not risk it bugging only to log in later today and find it set as ???.

FML, this is anoying and better be fixed to reflect what people have done already.

Also adding myself to this list, do we have to discover what it is? That’d be fun

There is another new patch just mins ago and I can confirm that it did not address this bug. I’m starting to worry if my hard earned 100k exp for October monthly is perm erased, cry

Fix one bug and 20 pop out. The same ones that were fixed.

Same thing, had the 100k xp survivor done, now only showing ???. On a brighter note, I was finally able to get the last bugged skill point done that I needed for 100% world

I have the same problem. Completed “Experience Survivor” yesterday, now it’s showing as “???” and has an empty bar. “Event Participation” and “Salvage Kit Usages” retained my progress though.

Yeap, got the same thing, had it over 35% , now it says i got 6%…

it reset yesterday because it was the 1st of october, and since its a monthly achievement it resets on the 1st

and its also bugged here

“Unknown monthly”? Well that´s nice, but why did they have the survivor achivement in the first place if they were gonna replace it with an unknown one? Sounds a bit wierd to me.

Halloween-related achievement maybe?

I wouldn’t mind having some sort of recognition for my 100k that I completed yesterday…

I hate kittens like this. If they want to add an extra monthly related achievement, fine, but don’t just randomly replace an achievement that many people already finished.

I have it too, and had completed exp achievement yesterday :/

Well, that’s that I guess. Since it’s going to be “revealed,” I’m going to assume it’s Halloween related.

I completed the 100K exp yesterday already.
Fine by me if they want to add a new event, but why should that be in the regular monthly ? And why does it have to cancel something I already earned ?

I suggest they fix the monthly achievement and use an extra reward for that event.

On top of that: the lifetime survivor bug is still not fixed…

The only reason I asked this question is that on Thurs, 9/27 my monthly reset itself after being complete. I assumed this was because of the 1 month from the start of gw2. I was then confused after it being reset that it was reset again on the 1st of the month and was wondering if the reset was going from the start date or the 1st of the month. Either way – multiple resets really are frustrating after completing so much.

Here’s how I see the meeting about this went….

Anet Employee 1: Lets update the monthly attachments to include a random element.
Anet Employee 2: Great idea, lets put it in the October 1st patch, what the random element you want to add in?
Anet Employee 1: Dunno we can put it in later lets just break it for now with a hidden ??? and leave everyone in the dark about it.
Anet Employee 2: Gee, Employee 1 has all the best ideas!

I’m really surprised how Anet employees and their talent to broke working stuff.

Not really.
monthly achievement kinda implies that it resets once per month and that one has a month to do the things required. One also expects it not to change during the month (unless it’s about an exploit)

The time to balance that achievement or to change it’s content would be the monthly reset…and not an update a day later.

Same here. I hope it doesn’t wipe the exp when it the thing finally works. A lot of the exploration you can only do once per toon.
