The joys of patch day. Please tell me others are in the same boat? Is this a bug or is it just anets way of making me have extra grinding fun this month?

I was just about to post this. My monthlies reset but no one else in my guild has. Not cool at all.

I seem to get all the bugs every patch ive had to log off till the fix the chat bug, i cant stand mailing everyone everytime i wanna say something. The idea of having to do my monthly again really grinds my gears

Remember, that before the patch only two (2/2) Monthlies were needed to fulfill the requirement.

After the patch, a new set of requirements started, and of those, you need 4/4.

A guildie just informed me that he was able to get double monthly reward – he had done 2/2 PVE achievements pre-patch, then 2 more after and got the reward again.

So, since I had 5 monthlies done before the patch, I get squat for playing more?

Would have thought ANet would have foreseen and closed this kind of loophole after all the similar problems with it previous times that they changed the achievement behavior. Monthly reward is very substantial – the laurels alone are ~10g. So handing out an extra 10g to some players and not to others who’ve done the same achievements seems like something they should address.

I get that only 2 were needed, but i had finished 4 and almost 5. Guess i have to grind again, ahh well

It’s definitely a bug. All of the monthly requirements are the same before and after the update. Only two guildies have had them reset while everyone else not.

Same thing with my guild…. several people were able to get double monthly rewards, but I who did 5 achievements got squat…

I logged in before the patch today to do my dailies, got them done. I had 4/2 of the monthlies done. I come back after the patch to discover that my monthlies have reset now I have nothing done.
Very upsetting, to make it worse no one else in my guilds were effected by it.
I am glad that they fixed the chat error, but really? SB now required that you destroy 13 portals which would be fine if we could damage them, but we can’t.
