Mouse Clicks fading out
Windows 7 64 bit
Logitech MX518
Same issue. In addition, releasing one or the other mouse button when the pointer is off the game window causes the game to minimize (full screen mode on dual monitor setup). This is disconcerting at best, deadly at worst.
Same issue tried 3 differant mouses. I was about to buy a Razor but figured it was on the GW2 side of things…
AMD Radeon HD 6800 X2, MSI 870A-G54
Same problem with the running. Has anyone else notice problems with moving items in inventory as well? I’m getting pretty annoyed moving food and consuming 2 or 3. The game does not seem to recognize single or double clicks randomly, and I know for sure it is not my mouse speed.
Mr. Alice: What kind of mouse you using? I’m curious because the three that I used were all Logitech. Anyone else use a “NON LOGITECH” mouse?

I have the same problem. I’m using a Razer mouse; the problem is on the games end. I remember in one of the public BWE, the mouse movement was working perfectly fine but then the following BWE it would stutter and stop just like op is describing. I’ve also ran SWTOR just to see if it was my mouse that was dying, but camera movement is perfectly fine in SWTOR
Started playing today and it seemed to get worse. It was really unplayable with large groups of NPC’s I couldn’t strafe left and look right. It kind of forced me to just stand still and take unnecessary damage… I wish more ppl were having the issue so that it may get addressed sooner…

Oh good, it is not just me! I am using a Razer Naga and I was fearing my mouse was about to break. Glad to hear it is a game-issue and not a mouse-issue!
Same thing here…
No longer blowing up stuff up on Gandara [CM] :(
I get the same problem sometimes and also sometimes the mouse wont activate my skills.. Logitech g500.
Now my cable is slightly broken due to dry joint.. so sometimes it dosconnects and re=connects.. It seems to happen after this alot. Hope this info helps..
Tis only what you can do for all
I have no problems with any other function that my mouse performs besides panning the camera while holding the right-click button. This problem becomes much more prevalent if the camera is forced to zoom in (like when I’m inside a tower) or if I try to pan really fast to turn while kiting. And yes, I do have the mouse rotation speed set to maximum. I’ve read on guildwars2guru.com that turning down the rotation speed helps with the problem, but I do not notice any difference.
I’m having problems with both right and left drags being dropped early. I am using a Logitech G400, which seems to be a popular brand in this thread.
I tried to reproduce this problem for about a half hour in explorer, and found that if I release some pressure when dragging, but not so much that the mouse audibly un-clicks, the OS will drop the input. What’s worse is that if I put full pressure back on, the right click will (sometimes?) not engage. I must fully release the right mouse button before it will work again. Obviously this is pretty terrible when you are in the middle of combat.
There could still be some problem with GW2, but I suggest if you have some minutes to try to test on the desktop with varying pressures to try to rule out a hardware related issue.

Razer Naga here, this bug is doing my head in. It makes kiting and playing in general very annoying. Does anyone know if ArenaNet has said anything about acknowledging or fixing this?
I have a Logitech G500, and it has happened to me too.
Though, its not just GW2, but it has done it with other games like Quake Live..so I’m not too sure if my mice is dying or GW2 caused my mice to bug out especially in other games..Weird :[
The thing is, it doesn’t happen in desktop, only when im gaming.
Any news on this bug.. ?
I have the same problem but also the aoe skill abilities that have a the red target in the skill box. When i click the skill box the target does not appear and the skill action happens all at once rather than left click target ring is acitviated then move mouse where u want the skilll to take place.
Also using a razer naga.
now if i place the arrow and click let say the number five on the number system on right thumb the skill takes place where is needed. use to i could both but now it is hitting the right number for the skill. Really annoying in the heat of battle.
Can we please have some kind of developer response to this? While i understand that there are other bugs in the game which are also important, the ability steer your character with the mouse being intermittant is gamebreaking.
i see it alot when i use a salvage kit, it just fades away, other times i am not really focus if it fades or not, but it actually pisses me off when i try to salvage something and it fades :C
Win. 7 Ultimate 32 bit and Logitech MX518 mouse here, and same problem.
I did not list my model previously and it’s obvious this post needs Dev attention. Hope everyone posts a in game ticket as well
Logitech MX Revolution (M-RBQ124)
I downloaded the latest setpoint (which also has the drivers) and it did not help. Post is almost going on a week now…bug, well since launch.
I have this issue on and off… i cringe every time they update.. I had it the first few weeks of release then it disappeared only to reappear now with the halloween updates, making the clock tower impossible… this is definitely a game issue and not an issue with the mouse. I have found that sometimes rebooting my computer with fix this issue but it is a hit and miss solution. I have a Logitech G700… thinking of getting a G600 for buttons. Love this game but this issue is so frustrating.
Same problem here. It started happening rigtht after the early October patch and has been getting steadily worse with each subsequent patch.
I have tried everything I can possibly think of to narrow down the porbable cause to no avail.
Vista 32bit
wired Razer Naga (firmware/drivers fully up to date)
This NEEDS to be fixed ASAP.

Well, after over a month of waiting for this to be fixed, or even some acknowledgement of the problem, nothing has changed and it seems Guild Wars 2 is going to be consigned to the ‘can not play’ bin. Thanks Anet.
I can’t believe that a massive problem such as a fundamental control issue seems to be being completley overlooked in favour of reducing drop-rates on this and that. What’s the point of sorting drop-rates if people can’t PLAY the game in the first place?
