Muted item chatter, but I can still hear job-o-tron comment on other people’s gathering, and skritt call out shinies at every node

That’s ok, been crafting for the last couple of weeks, and you know that elongated wood whittling sound it makes when an item is being crafted, well after your done it continues to make that sound except it’s slightly muted. It only ends when I leave a city after crafting. If I remain in the city, it just continues to make the sound of crafting but muted.

I’ve encountered both of these bugs as well since the option came into the game (and I check boxed it ofc). I really do like this sound feature and hope they fix the bugs soon.

Are you sure its not coz you’re sound settings aren’t saving? Since the sound update my sound settings won’t save changes. Have you checked if the mute item chatter has unchecked itself because you logged out unsaving the option? It’s under the player chatter box so it may have looked like it was checked when you looked again.

I had double checked before I made the first post, and just did again; yep it’s checked. Still having the bugs.

Also add the mad scientists harvesting tool to the list. Heard it from a player next to me as we gathered up some potatoes in Dissa a few days ago. I mainly here the Reap-r Tron in wvw, don’t think I’ve actually heard it in pve so far. I also ran into ounce hearing the Glitter Bomb in VB but only for a two uses then didn’t hear it for the rest of said players gathering (was in flax farm spot). There really doesn’t seem to be any consistency to hearing these aside from Reap-r Tron in wvw I hear every time when a player uses it and I’m near.

Edit: ok guess I’m having a dumb here, the sound option is alone for audio as in if any part has actual voicing? Or is it suppose to include the unique sound animations of said items besides voicing?

I’m really not sure the “Mad Scientists” tools were intended to be included — they don’t include any voice, just a “vacuum” sound for plants, lightning for trees, and laser-ish for metals. They definitely don’t say anything. (I say, as a user of them, who also finds the “you jumped” an infuriating thing…)

Thank you for the clarification. Was wondering about if it was just for the voicing or not for the items. For some reason I automatically assumed it covered everything sound wise. Hence my confusion on some of the tools I noted in my second post.
