My main character’s charr tail is slowly separating from her body. At first there was just a cut-out gap near the base, and now I can see it’s actually getting longer, like it’s sliding out and away. I’ve included a picture. It’s not subtle.

It started when I was using the new Crystal Nomad outfit over the Carapace armor, so I wonder if it has something to do with the bits that get put on the charr tail with the Crystal Nomad outfit, but again, I have no idea. If I put on an outfit it looks slightly repaired but showing the armor reveals it’s still borked. The other female charrs on this account are not having this problem. Other players can see it, and it’s the same if I log in with different computers. I’ve tried a -repair too but that did nothing.

Has anyone else encountered this? What can I do? I so want her tail to be normal again.

So it seems like this is not a common bug. I suppose I should just open a ticket?

A clearly noticeable gap indeed. Sorry, I don’t play much with my charr and I don’t even have that outfit, I can’t tell anything.

Thanks for your reply anyway. I’m really, really happy that I figured it out: it wasn’t the outfit or the coat, it was the trousers, which I hadn’t even considered. “Stalker pants” medium armor breaks the tail this way. Now I know.

Then, you might consider closing your ticket, to give the CS Team more time to work on other issues. Their response to armor ‘bugs’ is to post in the Sticky above, so the Dev Team can work on the issue in the order of importance.

Oh, glad you figured it out (even thought it wasn’t a “solution” for the issue). But yeah, from what I heard charrs have always had clipping issues, sadly enough.
