I am playing with a friend. We are both playing Sylvari. When it came time to choose an order, I chose Order of Whispers and he chose Priory. We then did our first quests, he with killing Mazdak in his tomb and me killing him in the town with the help of the centaurs. We were then both told to go to Lion’s arch. Since his Lion’s arch quest was closer than mine we went to his instance first. After that, my order got switched to Priory as well. Help, how do I get back to Order or Whispers?

Dev’s any ideas?

The only thing you could do is party up with someone who is in the Order of Whispers and do the next story step with them. That should get you back onto the Order of Whispers track, but you’d have to be careful to not party up for order-specific missions with your Priory friend again (or be prepared to decline credit and then do them again to stay on your own order’s story).

I paired up with someone who is doing the right story and it still didn’t help. I did not get the ability to progress on my friends story and I am told “This is not your active story any progress made on this story will be lost”. My story still points to the dwarven cavern.

Any other ideas for fixing this? This is my first character to make it this far and I really want to play the order of whispers story.

Ah, I see what part you’re on. You’re going to have to play through this Priory bit, I’m afraid. The only way that partying up trick works is if you’re on a story step that all three orders have (such as Setting The Stage, the one that ended up putting you on the Priory path after you did it with a friend). And you won’t have another mission like that until you reach the level 50 story arc.

So will I be able to Fix it at 50?
