The mysterious grubby packages are still dropping for me and my friend at the end of jumping puzzle chests, but when I open it there’s no ornament inside, only a junk item.

If you haven’t unlocked the collection or if you have already completed the collection they will only give junk items. Each ornament is only obtainable once.

^ Khisanth is correct. Just enjoy the extra 1 or 10 silver they give you.

^ what Zax said. 10 silver is better than the standard blue/green you would have gotten along with the package.

Mysterious Grubby Packages are added to the loot roll. They replace nothing.

Thus, if they were removed from the loot roll, you would not get another item, such as a Rare or Exotic. You would get nothing in its place.
