Is this normal for the mystic forge to just eat items?
I was under the impression you put 4 items in and get 1 out.
I have recorded 5 attempts where the items are consumed and nothing is returned.

Is this normal or a bug?

This happened to me too. I put in 4 rare level items. That I got from 100% areas, as they where no good for my class. And I got zip back.

Happened to me too. Put in 4 masterwork platinum earrings I had leftover from crafting. Got nothing back. Reported it here and in-game and got no reply.

Really hope that this isn’t intended behavior. I’ve stopped using the forge until I hear if this is a bug or not.

I would guess that this is not normal. If it is….. Well I’d rather sell hints I don’t need. At least you’ll get something for them.
