Mystic Salvage Kit Is Soulbound
I just want to confirm this. Same as above, no charges used but can only be taken from the bank by the character who crafted it.
i Have the same problem can someone from Anet confirm this?? its a error in the tooltip or a error in the item?
It’s happened to a ton of different items that are/were account bound and are now only usable by original character…. not only the mystic salvage kit.
Drives me nuts.
This needs to be fixed, I made 5 of them and can’t use them on alts.
Very frustrating…
The 250 stack Mystic Salvage Kit states it is account bound, but when made by one character and put into bank, another character cannot use/put into there backpack.
Is this a bug as it states account bound not soulbound?
Thank you! Someone else is having the same issue. I would also like to know what’s going on…
Agreed. I made a few thinking I’d let my other toons use them. They need to either make them work as account bound or give us back either the stones or the money used to make them.
bump. why arent we getting an answer for this?? i spent around 600-800 gems and 10k karma making 7 stacks now i cant use them on my alt and the character i made them on has been deleted. I would like to know if this is a known bug or can i at least get my gems/karma back?
This is also happening with soulbound recipes that were changed to account-bound in last night’s update. FYI.

so still no answer for this? would be nice to get a reply.
Confirm this bug still exists as time of posting.
I’m not sure if this is the right forum thread (somewhat a bug), however in the most recent patch i believe account-bound items were supposed to be fixed, some of them were however mystic salvage kits don’t seem to be working.
Th Mystic Salvage Kit says it’s account bound, however I’m unable to withdraw it on my other account, curious if this is intentional (it’s supposed to be soulbound), or if it hasn’t been properly updated.
Thanks.
I ran into this problem today. I made 3 Mystic Salvage Kits, and I can only take them out of the bank if I’m playing the character I created them on.
I can confirm this bug still exists as of today.
Having the same problem. Made it on my Guardian and can’t pick it up from the bank on the Thief.
There are a few other items that appear to behave similarly, such as the 5-day personal banking golem.
The Mystic Salvage Kit says “Account Bound” but is actually soulbound.
….. despite yesterday’s patch saying it was addressing issues with account bound items behaving as soulbound.
Still broken.
Noticed this last night. Steps to reproduce:
On Character A:
1. Gather ingredients for mystic salvage kit (3x forge stones, 1x fine kit, 1x journeyman kit, 1x master kit.)
2. Create the Mystic kit, observe it is tagged “Account Bound” in the tooltip.
3. Put kit in the bank.
On Character B:
4. Go to bank and attempt to withdraw kit. You will be able to move it around inside your bank but not drag it to your inventory bags or double-click it to pop it over. This is what soulbound items do, but the tooltip does not say “soulbound to another character,” it still says “Account Bound.”
This issue might not be specific to Mystic kits. People are reporting the same problem with dungeon tokens: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Pre-Patch-tokens-are-not-account-bound/first

I am having this issue as well with a Mystic Salvage Kit I made pre-patch

Hi,
I created a Mystic Salvage Kit on a character. The tooltip for the kit states Account Bound. I put it in my Vault (Bank), but I cannot retrieve it on any other character. If I try to drag it into my inventory the location turns red, as it does with Souldbound items from another character.
Thanks.
I have the same problem with my mystic salvage kit
So I’ve made a few mystic salvage kits and yesterday I finally went to use one on another character that just hit 80 and it seems these are souldbound and not account bound as stated… Is this a bug or are they intended to be soulbound, which would suck if they are?
I dunno if its been reported or not but it says account bound but i cant switch it to another toon
I’ve created several Mystic Salvage Kits and CAN NOT get them out of my inventory onto other toons! They show Account Bound but they aren’t!
In the description of the item it says Account bound but you can not put it on another character. If you put it in bank slot you can move it around but you can not put it in another character inventory, only on the character that created it. Please fix this or just put soulbound on it.
Yeah this happened to me…
This is correct, made a similar post in here a few days ago but it just died with no responses. Hopefully they make this easy fix so I can carry my 200 charge kit around on my main instead of leaving it in the bank since I made it with an alt ~_~

i have the exact same bug, extremely frustrating
I have reported this bug several times now in-game & still doesn’t work. So adding my voice to forums & crossing fingers. Seems a bit daft to have 2 × 250 use salvage kits for 1 character at any 1 time.

I agree I have exactly the same problem
“Fixed the conversion on all items that were changed from soulbound to account bound to actually be account bound now.” – Update Notes – 1 October 2012
Can’t remember if it was soulbound originally but I guess they aint fixed it…..
Spending Every Day With Bleary Eyes
same just got 2 of them for an alt and can’t trade them
I have the same problem as above. Is this going to be patched soon?
Same issue. I just spent $5 worth of gems that I bought with cash to buy the Mystic Forge Stones to make these. Made 3 stacks of Mystic Salvage Kits which state “Account Bound” in the tooltip and now I can’t transfer them to any of my other characters.
Is this intended or not? Because if these are supposed to be Soulbound I am ticketing to get my gems back.

I still have a mystic kit in my bank that i can only remove by the toon that made it. Haven’t yet tried it with a new kit, as don’t really want to waste the stones. so not sure if its fixed or if they just haven’t applied fix retroactivly

Still soulbound for me as well, wonder when it will get fixed

The stack of Mystic salvage kits gained from the Mystic Fountain says account bound in the description, but is acting soulbound.
It’s [NERF] or nothing!
I tried to take out the Mystic Salvage Kit on an 80 alt from the bank and it won’t do it. It’s basically acting as if it’s soulbound instead of account bound.
It says it’s accountbound, yet it has the properties of being soulbound. Definitely a bug. Like with the dungeon tokens update, where they too stated they were accountbound, yet had the properties of being soulbound.
A fix would be nice.
Just popping in to help bring attention to this issue.
Assuming it is indeed supposed to be account bound as the tooltip says, I would find it very convenient if this were fixed so my alts can share salvage kits.
Thanks!
Reconfirm as well. Happening to me. Only the original character can use it.
This still has not been fixed to either show soulbound or make it account bount like it describes.
Just tried to move my Mystic Salvage Kit over to another character and it seems to be soul bound. It does say account bound on it.
I have the same problem. I could have crafted 3 stacks with three players, but it SAID it was account bound, so now I have 750 salvage kits for ONE player and the other two are out in the cold having to buy master kits. PLEASE FIX THIS.
I can confirm this is still an issue, I crafted 3 kits on my level 80 Elementalist, and can’t grab them from bank on my newly created guardian even though they say account bound.

While we’re aware of this issue and have a bug on it, there’s no ETA on a fix yet. Thank you for your patience!
