SO the other day I went to the mystic forge to create my back piece
Tome of Rubicon into the infused version. So I took

• Tome of Rubicon
• 250 Globs of Ectoplasm
• 1 Gift of Ascension
• 1 Glob of Coagulated Mist Essence

I hit forge and much to my surprise I got

• 250 Globs of Ectoplasm
• 1 Gift of Ascension
• 1 Glob of Coagulated Mist Essence

but no Tome of rubicon.

In the end I put in a support ticket with a screen shot then had to purchase

• 1 Vial of Condensed Mists Essence
• 40 Crystal
• 50 Glob of Ectoplasm
• 250 Ancient Bone

which ran me around

• 26 gold for the bones
• 17 gold for the Glob of Ectoplasm

And then the skill points and a Glob of Coagulated Mist Essence and what ever mats that took.

Now I am already at peace with the fact I just made a new one no matter how much it upset me. But can you please make sure this is not a reacuring issue and others are not having this happen to them. This happen 3 or 4 days ago now. It would be great if I could at least get the Mats back for the Tome, or even the gold for the mats I had to buy, but that isn’t what this Thread is about. Hope this helps save people if there are others this has happen to, from having to lose a piece of gear.

This is full of bugs. Last day I log into my Mesmer and realize I have lost my final rest staff, imagine my surprise when I notice I have no skill in my bar. What anet answer? Nothing.

I have rarely used the Forge… it is still pretty mysterious to me. (Seems every time I put one item into it, almost every remaining item in my Inventory gets grayed out. Hard to get 4 compatible things to go.)

Anyhow, one time I put in 4 dyes, and it forged one of the same dyes I put into it. So in essence, it deleted 3 dyes. They need to fix it so at least you get something DIFFERENT than what you put in.
