Guild Wars 2

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this.

Instance 1. Everything is fine, skills are working, no lag and then my character suddenly dies??? Strange but it has happened several times now.

Instance 2. Everything is working fine and then everyone disappears? I can’t see NPC, other players or mobs. Im literally running around like a headless chicken, I can’t use any of my skills and then my character dies a minute later???

It’s been really frustrating!!
Please help ><

There are a few threads about this. It’s a new bug introduced in one of the most recent patches. I would hope a fix is coming soon; perhaps, with the big patch next Tuesday.

I encountered this bug in Frostgorge Sound. My character was exploring the east side. When mobs and my weapon skills disappeared, I managed to discovered Bore Lynch.

I checked with my party member where I appeared on the map, and put a marker in south west Frostgorge Sounds above Lost Child’s Sorrow Waypoint. I think I was placed in an inaccessible location without mobs and likely treading water.

Taking any waypoint temporarily fixes this for me.

Glad to know that it’s possibly a bug and not something on my side. I’ll be going to waypoint next time it happens, thanks for the tip!

Forgot to add: Character select also seems to work in re-synching with the server.
(if you don’t mind potentially ending up in a different IP or if the waypoint fees outweigh the earns. Due to my small frequency of encountering this bug, I cannot guarantee that character selection won’t place you somewhere else.)
