I am very tired of NPCs that are supposed to be on my team act as if they are fighting for the other side. I did the storyline where we are supposed to save a group of vigil (I think ) from Mount Maelstrom. To start, you go into the mountain and there is a split immidiately where you can go right or left (both lead to the same spot after about 30ft). The problem is, I went right and the NPCs spit up where half went one way and half wen the other. It wouldn’t be so bad, but there was a lot of mobs on either side, and aggro-ing both was a pain.
Now here is the really bad part, I attempt to res one NPC (they all died to that pull), immediately, he gets up and runs off down the tunnel. But he doesn’t go after the first enemy, he goes after the 4th one that would never have aggro-ed in the first place. The others did the same when I got them up. Now, finally I get to the champion at the end. My guys are dead, again, and there are about 3 mobs before the champion with all these spectral weapons around him. So I say, “hey, why not res my 4 guys so I can have help?” And what do you know, the first one I res runs all the way to the champion and attacks him, all the while, the mobs he aggro-ed on the way come up to me and wipes me. This happens 2 more times until I can kill everything and fight the champion on my own.

This isn’t the only story mission that this has happened on. The one where you have to destroy the Orr ship that is carrying the dead food did the same thing to me. Just getting on the ship all my guys die to the claw things that whip you back. So I kill that one off, attempt to res my team as I am out of range of the other claw things. First guy I res doesn’t attack the claws that are 3ft next to him, no. He runs into the ship and down below out of my sight. I figured he died. So I res the next on. He does the same thing. All of them that I res’d ran off into the ship. I stayed to kill the other things on top, and then start for heading below deck. But since all have died, I have to deal with the massive mob that comes running out from below.

I understand bugs in a new game, I truly do get it. But it’s the consistency that they show up over and over again that makes me angry. I can’t complete a lot of these storylines due to NPCs aggro-ing random things, or getting stuck on a twig, or constantly fighting re-spawns and not following me to get away.

There was a lot of problems in GW1 with heroes having bad AI in a lot of ways, I was hoping that those problems would be dealt with in GW2. I do love this game, don’t get me wrong. Just please spend some time getting AI to work. let me command them (in the storyline) like you could do to heroes in GW1. Give me something please.
