It appears NPC activity in this game is sadly unbalanced. In some cases the NPCs actually get involved with the combat but in most cases they do not. This I consider a major bug in the game.
I searched for something regarding this but did not find anything in the forums related to it so here goes.
I’ve noticed when running through the world, many times I will get involved in fighting to help “save” a village, garrison or small outpost. But the NPCs do not engage the enemy very well if at all. It feels as though they are waiting for me to do all the fighting. In the meantime, they just die.
Another area of concern is when ever I am fighting enemies close to a group of NPCs, and we spill over into their path, the NPCs just stand there not responding to the threats but seem to be oblivious to the threats. Although they get killed by the enemy I am fighting.
Once I finish, I go around and rez all the dead NPCs but I don’t even get a thanks for my effort.
It would be truly epic if you set the neutral NPCs through out the world to respond against the enemy NPCs/beasts as they come within range. Would add a greater dimension to the combat in the game.
