NSFW bug? Naked female bug
Since when is a pretty lady without her clothes on a “bug”?
But yeah, this is probably a glitch in the routine that changes players from their armor to their swimsuits when they put the goggles on before diving. Likely tell it’s another sign that the servers need a reboot.
This is fake.
The underwear and skin are the very base of the model, there is nothing under the underwear, if it were to ‘glitch-off’, you would see clear through the character in those parts where the underwear was missing, rather than seeing skin tones.
Actually, someone could have done this on purpose, but that seems unlikely. Either way, there’s no way this is a modeling glitch, 3d models don’t work that way.

This was a player and not an NPC, she’s not standing there any longer.

Of course there’s nothing under, that wouldn’t be appropiate for this game, but it still looks funny though :P
Here, have another look.

- and from the front. As said, there’s nothing under the underwear, obviously.
This reminds me a lot of The naked man from iriginal Guild Wars :P
I just reported something very similar to this today https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Ascalonian-Peasant-has-no-underwear/first#post228714. The NPCs do have the butt model there, just not the other parts.
This could be good for a future mod. As a grown man, I don’t want games to insult my intelligence and determine that nobody goes commando sometimes.
I haven’t seen any threads about this (though similar threads) and unfortunately I don’t have a lot of information about it, but apparently there is a bug with a certain light armor that causes the armor model to disappear completely. This definitely wasn’t a glitch on my end as I saw other people in Divinity’s Reach responding to the character’s apparent lack of dress.
Maybe it’s something newish? Google advised.
I spotted someone exactly like that in Lion’s Arch Blackgate server. I used the /bug command. Though Guild Wars 2 is aimed towards a teenage audience, it doesn’t show those kind of nude-ish model, even though.. Jeez I don’t know how society determine what’s nude and what isn’t.
Still the players who does it know they are doing it and ANET should address this issue, in my opinion*. Punish? I’m somewhat.. : |
just the “Really?!” thing.
Yes, I saw the same thing in Lion’s Arch, on the Yak’s Bend server just a few hours ago. This is very well detailed. And, this is something brand spanking new, because it just happened today! This apparently happens when a female player model (Norn, Human, or Sylvari) equips the Apprentice light armor skin, the armor you see on newly created female Scholar professions.
EDIT: I’ve been searching Google and MSN.com, to see if this is a nude mod patch, and I can’t find anything relative to it. Because this is happening to EVERYONE, regardless of what server we are all on, I conclude that this is NOT a mod – clearly the fault of something else.

Hello ArenaNet,
Earlier today I encountered a naked female human player by the name of Boring Fantasy Name. I am not sure whether this is a bug or a hack? I don’t see anywhere to report this? Is this even illegal? Granted she’s not technically nude, since she has no nipples or anything, but she has no clothing, not even town clothing on. So I’ll leave it here on these forums for reporting.

[Screenshots will not be posted here due to graphical content. Please e-mail me directly for them.]
Thank you,

This is actually a BUG, due to the fact that it only happens, when a female model equips the Apprentice armor skin – you know…the armor you see on newly created Scholar professions. I’ve been searching Google and MSN.com, to see if this was a nudemod, and I can’t find anything related. Thus, I have come to conclude that this is a bug. I think it’s safe to speculate, that someone may have hacked the Guild Wars 2 system, thus adding the nude skin to the game.
EDIT: I saw a screenshot, in a previous thread, and I noticed that the boots and gloves were not that of the Apprentice armor skin. So, I stand corrected. It is safe to speculate, that the problem is in the game’s database, since everyone can see this nudity.

Hello! I know a lot of you people out there are wondering about this nudity that is being seen across all servers in this game. I’ve seen this for myself, just earlier today, so bear with me, as this is something that is brand spanking new. From what I’ve seen, this problem only happens when a female player model (Human, Norn, or Sylvari) equips the Apprentice light armor skin – you know, the armor you see on newly created Scholar professions (Elementalist, Mesmer, Necromancer). I see a lot of people are posting about this, thinking it is a hack. Well, it is; assuming someone had access to the Guild Wars 2 system, thus created and downloaded these files, to overwrite an armor skin. But, for now, it’s considered a bug, since only speculation can be made, about how this came to be. Would like a red post here, please; I request one. I believe a that a red post would be useful, to actually confirm how this has happened, seeing that the problem is in the game’s database.
EDIT: I’ve seen a screenshot, in a previous thread, and I noticed that the gloves and boots were not that of the Apprentice armor skin. So, I stand corrected. Still, I am being lead to believe that this problem is in the game’s database, because everyone can see this nudity, no matter what version of Windows they have, or which game server they place on. If this were a mod patch, then it would only be visible by those who downloaded the patch.

This often happens when a player is AFK. They get downed by an enemy and get revived repeatedly until their armour is completely broken, at which point it is “removed” from the player as it is useless. Eventually, after being downed and revived multiple times, the player model becomes nude.
This might be what people are seeing?
Regardless of the speculation, but that did help us pinpoint the issue. Will it be fixed soon? I’d hate to see 100 naked people on the streets. :/
Edit: A few details I forgot to file in this report.
1: The player was in front of the bank, dancing.
2: The time of the forum post was the time and date, EST, in which the player was online.
3: Is anyone willing to simulate this [Bug] to see the exact cause of the bug? That would help the Staff out a bunch.

Is not a hack. Is a well known bug.
Is not fake… there is a way to make your character naked (only from the backside). This have been reported but for now.. is true :-)
Sigh, and this is why we can’t have nice things…Blabber mouths.. back to the drawing board.
Why are people playing this game at work anyways?
The nude models ARE part of the game data. I found an NPC that had a wardrobe malfunction so bad it even took his head.
I support Tengu as a playable race.
Ah, I’m not the only one who’s seen the naked headless NPC in a Fort Trinity story instance, then.
This player instance is news to me, though. And slightly different, in that they keep their boots, gloves, weapons,… and head!
It IS something that Anet needs to look into – before the wrong people see it, and the wrong people’s parents start taking umbrage.
That’s the mad king npc without his head. This is how he is the rest of the year, and then he dresses on for halloween!

Thanks for the reports, everyone! We were made aware of this issue yesterday, and have a fix for it on our test servers that we’ll be pushing Live soon. In the meantime, I’ll be closing this thread. Thanks again!
