Whenever I’m in Open World and the closest Dynamic Event is far away enough, a Nearby Event marker shows up and when I move close to it there’s actually no event there.
Happens in every Open World map I’ve been to.

There are actual events there; Rift events. Grab a Stabilizer and rack up XP, Karma, Map Rewards, Dailies, etc.
