The “nearest enemy” function (nearest, not next) does seem to work a little strange. It seems to only take into account enemies currently on your screen. That might be fine as long as a lot of enemies are near you, but if the nearest enemy is behind you and another enemy is far away, it will still target the far away one, which is definitely not expected behavior.

It would be nice if the skill would target the actually nearest enemy, even if it is behind you. This can be useful for example if you have to run away or even if you killed a foe and want to turn to the next one, like in GW1.

I have observed this and it’s gotten me killed several times.

If you’re fighting an enemy in mele range it’s not abnormal to loose sight when you dodge, root, circle. It often happens in that case that hitting “nearest enemy” will target another mob at range and result in extra aggro.

Nearest enemy should always target the nearest “red” mob.

NSP Why bother?….
