I know, and I just tested to confirm, that damage caused by my flesh golum does NOT appear in the combat log, which would imply such damage is not counted toward my total damage dealt. This is a huge issue for necros, such as myself, or any minion/pet driven class, since the main bulk of my direct damage are my minions. So, if my minion(s) deal most of the damage, as a sort of NPC, and that’s not getting accounted to me, that could be terribly detrimental to my drops, and could explain a great deal of the loot issues I’ve been having the last couple months.

I might control my minions, but they’re not a lot of good if I’m not getting credit for the damage they cause. While I might get XP for the kill, if the bulk of the damage is not counted, this will adversely affect drops…especially solo.

Please fix this. If damage is counted properly, it’s still a bug since it does not show in the combat log.

This is very annoying on a ranger..

A lot our damage comes from our pet and it does not show up on the combat list..

This makes the combat list worthless to me..

I think you are still getting credit for the kill even tho the combat log doesn’t show it..

I can confirm you get credit for the kill. I tested in cursed shore by walking near to a risen and letting the minion do all the work. To me, it’s more a question of whether I’m getting credit for the damage the minion/pet does, much more important in group events.. I’d be happier if ANet confirmed it and fixed things so minion/pet damage showed in the log.

could be tested with a ranger easily, just send the pet to help on an event and make sure you don’t do any damage and see if you get any credit..

could be tested with a necro altho I don’t know how controllable your minions are.

also if you are getting the credit for the kill then I can see no reason why it wouldn’t count the damage done by a minion..

the only reason I can see it not counting is if you aren’t doing x amount of damage required

/agreed what point is the combat log if i cant see 30-40% of my damage..
