Um… New player here.

I have noticed that my minions often times do not attack enemies, I have read that it is caused by my minions being too distant from me when attacking mobs, but this is NOT the case, I often summon my flesh golem upon entering combat, and roughly 50% of the time he just stands there, like some brain-dead zombie.

I don’t appreciate the dev’s lack of care about this issue, what is the point of being a necromancer if you can’t even have capable minions?

I see that fanboys constantly defend the issue, claiming limitations within the engine, if this is the case, REMOVE THEM, don’t pretend they work while disingenuously claiming to be working on a fix.

Because as far as I can see this has been an issue since launch.

Why is it that my GF’s ranger pet has no issues attacking EVERY SINGLE mob she engages, yet she giggles at my worthless necro minions constantly.

Seems like BS to me.

I think this was actually fixed at one point and then it broke again in another patch. I notice the bug a lot in pvp as minion master necro and can best describe it as severe lag in minion actions to the point where minions will just stand still off point while I’m fighting the enemy team.

Also, I agree that ranger pets are much better but obviously I know nothing about the GW2 back-end so it might not be possible to simply use the same ai for minions.

I primarily use minion master necro in pvp (because it requires no skill, ohoho) so any improvement to minion ai would be appreciated.

I just tested minion AI in PvP and I can confirm that the AI is not working properly. More than half of the time my flesh golem would simply follow me around. If I used his ability to charge, he’d charge at the enemy that I had been attacking but then he’d go right back to following me. If I was lucky he’d get a hit or two in during an entire fight.

This is something that needs to be addressed in order for necromancer minion builds to be viable.
