Hey there,
I searched the forum, but found nothing regarding the question I have. Sorry if this has already been asked (and sorry for my bad English).

The skill description of the utility mentioned above says: Create a shadowy tether and become spectral, gaining life force when struck. You may return to your initial position by using Spectral Recall.

What I learned today is that you can activate spectral walk, port to a waypoint and then still use Spectral Recall. Imagine you’re playing WvW and desperately need supplys where you actually can’t get any. You can just waypoint, get some and teleport back. With 20 trait points in Curses for the Spectral Attunement trait it lasts 12 seconds, which are enough for the scenario above.

Is this supposed to be so?

I don’t think that’s a bug, not even a exploit, just another use for a barely useful skill.

And by the way, you forgot to count loading times, lag spikes, D/C, etc. So, good luck trying that strategy.

Why fix the Necromancer for free when we can charge $$$ for the Revenant

Sounds like a bug to me, although with the long CD its not nearly as abusable as it could be. Since portal resets on WP i presume this should too.
