man this is so annoying! still cant log in

Was tagged up leading people through guild missions. Still can’t get back in after waiting for more than 15 minutes. With the launcher completely closed out.

I -guess- someone joined my squad, not that there would have been any need for that. .-.

you’re missing the point, it’s the dedicated hot beta weekend. more focus should be on this than wvw, if the ui for their entire expansion is buggy now, it’s better to fix it.

Why can’t they fix bugs in a more closed setting? Or atleast have better timing? 9 pm EST on Friday starts the busiest WvW night of the week. They could have worked on it earlier than that, or they could’ve waited until tomorrow.

And like I said before- why should everyone in the entire game be subjected to HoT-related bugs just because it’s a beta weekend? I haven’t paid for HoT, I can’t participate in beta events, and I don’t want to have to deal with its bugs.

Even EU has a lot of uptime right now. Gold tier servers are still running respectable groups that overshadow bronze tier primetime zergs. It’s 6AM here.

Given the quality control level displayed, I am thinking I should just skip beta weekend and the first week of release of HoT.

I kinda want my money back for this kitten. I am a WvW only player and the fact your beta for HoT stopped my night to command for my guild in T1. I would rather spend my money elsewhere than this kitten.

IF YOU WANTED TO RUN A BETA WEEKEND LIKE THIS…. Why not add in the new Borderlands as well. At least it would be done “live” like you wanted as all of WvW on it and finally get to see it instead of select guilds and accounts. And I would be less angry about being kicked as at least WvW would be beta as well.

The only player in my squad left a long time ago, I waited without entering the game for quite a bit, I still got Network error. I have been unable to log back in on any character (beta or not) for an hour now. Thanks for calling in the cavalry!

Again, there is the pvp beta, the last wvw beta was a low amount of people I think ( or maybe i missed it?) And I know you’re upset, but they are doing all they can

Edit. I know you are trying to paint a better picture for everyone and that is commendable.

However for some of us Reset night is the best night of the week, it’s not fun and we are understandably upset. No amount of “Hey Guise lets just give ’Em a break” pep talks is going to make it better.

All of us love this game and love A-Net by proxy but it still sux, no matter what light you paint it.

I am not, but having been one of the upset people AGES ago during some other thing I forget, I realised, Whining doesn’t do anything, Letting them do things is much easier, and lets people stay calm.

If I WAS paid.. All i’d want is the Expansion for my friend xD, She can’t afford it, so I keep asking my money providers ( parents) if I can spare £35 for her.

But in terms of beta, applying a patch update on the most important time for many players (WvW Reset) is not the best idea to go with. With any beta you can expect errors, especially errors with people not being able to play. So it would probably be best to save the beta test for earlier in the day on fridays.

I believe all you do is right click your GW2 launcher icon, and go to properties and add " -repair" after the speech marks in the Target line.

Thanks for the feedback, but the beta began at mid-day studio time. We didn’t just kick it off after dinner.

Not many people know how hard everyone works at Arenanet to try and keep as many people happy as possible. Thank you for constant updates and reminders that it is being worked on.

I think what you actually did was wait it out like many other people. Loads of us have run repairs without it making any difference, and there’s no reason that repairing your client should change something like that which is more like an account state.

But it ruined my night. I understand you Gaile. I have played GW1 since Beta, but these are ridiculous. Why not spam mass messages what you plan to fix in the game so people know. I am not asking for a long drawn message but a quick “hey we are updating squad ui, so you are aware” would be helpful. This is very disheartening to me, my guild, my server, and WvW players in general. As I know you can see, I don’t post in the forums ever, but I felt this was bad enough to post about because you literally screwed over many peoples’ Friday nights.

Yes, I have been locked out for like 2-3 hours too, But again, let Anet work. They have a lot to deal with, and saying how long you’ve been locked out wont make them work faster.

Why do you pull this crap on reset night, this is inexcusable. This is far from Beta…its “engeering samples” stuff with errata..

you really should go try other games if 1-2 hours of downtime once in a blue moon is such a big deal for you. For instance, SWTOR used to bring all the servers down for 2-4 hours every 2-4 weeks just to roll the new build over not mentioning hot-fixes etc.

This is literally first long downtime in 3 years and it does not even affect all players. Just sit back and relax a bit while they are working on it, they brought people back to the office on Friday midnight and you still kittening about it is just ridiculous.

They have been awful at announcing betas for WvW content…. And should have just released it to all to see real “server” beta’ing for realsies. The fact they only selecte certain accounts/guilds for WvW means they give no kittens about beta’ing it for real.

Whelp, ive been waiting for 2 hours now; so, i think its time to just call it quits and come back in a day or two and see if i can get past character selection. GL everyone have a nice day.
