As of a few minutes ago I can’t log my characters in.
I can log on but get this message when picking a characer (after looking at mount maelstrom or crystal oasis loging image for some time).
I’m on EU.

I am having the same problem. Was watching core story cinematic where I had to find Tonn’s ladyfriend, and then I was stuck with cinematic icon on top of my head and no other option but to log out of the game (Totally stuck). Now when I try to login after character selection screen, I get this same error. On all characters.

I just got knocked off too and when I went to log back in I too got the same error message.

Got DC:d from WvW and now any char I try logging onto gives this message.
Also EU, FSP.

yeah same here got booted out of mid wvw whilst taking a keep, and i am unable to log in now.. NA, mag here

im getting same error… game crashed right as alari event spawned too -_- awesome! more time wasted

Same our entire squad just got punted out of WvW and can’t relog

Edit: some of us are getting back into character select but my characters past the select screen

same here on EU – Server, was kicked from WVW and now

same here, game crashed and when i logged back in my character reverted back 2 levels and it said i was in divinity’s reach which i hadnt been in for over an hour

I had the same problem but logged in after a few attempts. Looked like a net hiccup.

Got kicked out of a dungeon… Let’s take a look on twitter, what this time causes the connenction error.

Was in the Demo of PoF and got kicked with an error. Can get to character screen but can’t get a character into a map, it keeps giving me a network error.

Was in Siren’s Landing after doing all the hearts when everything froze up. Now I can get to the character select screen but get a ‘Network Error’ message after a while and it kicks me back to desktop.

That character also states that she is in Bitterfrost Frontier now. I sure hope I didn’t lose my last 30 minutes in Siren’s Landing.

as workaround i logged now in with these settings as always if it crash → …Gw2-64.exe" -authsrv 206.127.146.73 -assetsrv 64.25.41.2

Back now, but got dropped and could not get back in for a few minutes.

Strangely creating anew demo character works

Have the same Problem. Started the game and got dropped out after 1 minute, since then receiving this errror code. EU

was in wvw desert bl near o del academy game disconnected when tried to log back in error try again later. something seams to be causing network issue.

I was on my mesmer, hundreds of feet into the air, just dropping an egg on the Wyvern Patriarch. I had a guaranteed armour chest drop and just one piece missing from my bladed set.
And then boom! Dropped to char select.
Now I can’t even log on, I just want my boss loot… =(

I saw regular disconnects in the material from WP and Bog Otter about their “pre-event”.
Thought it was related to some bugs in the demo they played, but apparently Arenanet managed to patch it into the public servers as well -_-

Disconnecting here as well. KY, USA area. Everything else on the network is just fine.

Same exact thing as Epphyx. It started maybe 30 min ago. I’m on an NA server. Was on demo character when I got booted the first time.

I’m in NA. I was in Bloodstone Fen when I dc’d. I logged back in and made it to the character select screen, but when I clicked ‘play’ it had me going to Divinity’s Reach and the load screen would just hang. Then I got the Network error message. Tried twice and the same thing happened.

Just started for me, can get into the character select screen, but I can’t actually load a toon in.

Already in a foul mood with Anet as it is thanks to the Chalice of Tears for Mursaat token achievement. Why is their mantra “Fix one thing, break twenty more.”?

I was in Bloodstone Fen also, disconnected mid-fight. Restarted my computer but have the same result on regular and demo characters. It’s not my network because my wife’s computer is running GW2 right now.

Apparently this works, but the boss kill either never happened because everyone got logged out, or I just didn’t get anything since I was logged out. No Night event loot, no nothing.
Sigh

Got in. It booted me all the way to Lion’s Arch from Chalice of Tears, so now I’ve got to run back and get back to where I was.

Screw your crappy servers, Anet.

Completely rebooting seems to have resolved the issue for me.

Same. Though im a new player with no characters and I cannot create one. Simply won’t let me—

The game crashed on me hours ago. I also got this error message when trying to log on. According to the Support page, this error is due to a server crash and to try again after several minutes after restarting the game. Well, it’s hours later and no dice. I am unable to log on past the character selection screen.

I am getting this code too

I have been getting this problem from around 3hs+.

I get Error code 11:1001:8008:186
