I checked out all of my hairstyles with my gears before changing them. As a result, did not take new hair on most of my chars.

You could request a refund for your hair kit by submitting a ticket though.

I want to see a picture of what you are having an issue with personally, maybe your shoulder pads are gigantic, I dunno. I’m sure if you open a ticket they will send you a new hair ticket to either revert back or change to something else.

Not that you can already see that in the Preview. I very well saw the clipping on my Female Ranger with Kasmeers Hair on my Kryta Chest, and nonetheless decided to use it, so i can bug it maybe, but no reason to rant about it.

You can preview before finalising, you know?
I play asura characters…and they clip all over the place (staff through the ears!) – but you get used to it.
Still, submit a ticket…you might get a refund.

Did you preview the hair with armor on while using the kit or did you toggle it off? Sometimes you’ll have to compromise on shorter hair if you have giant mantle/shoulders and clipping is very off-putting for you. That or toggle off equipped shoulder armor visibility and if most cases it works. Some of the very long hairs clip awkwardly with backpieces though.

Yeah .. i also had that thought when i previewed it

And also .. i would never ever rant about clipping if they just give us THAT hairstyle, that is apparently not in the game because of clipping problem

Could you please repeat that in proper english? Besides, there’s a preview option for your hair. You should’ve seen it before accepting the make over.

Why did this person not just look at the preview of the hair be for hitting the make changes button?

Gotta have short hair unless you’re a light armor class. I also hate clipping between armor and weapons. It limits what I can choose. Needs fixing, for sure.

Zerging… completely different subject, but ok. If you’re bored you can choose to do lots of different things in game. Or you could play something else.

If you’re not having fun…. well… it’s a game. It should be fun.

They might have gotten new armor after getting the hair or something, idk. That happened with my charr thief. Looked at a bunch of new armour (not immediately) after changing his hair and his ponytail wanted to clip with everything.
Granted, he is a charr. It’s almost expected at this point. I like the hair enough that I ignore it.

Anyway, do as advised with the trouble ticket and you might get a refund if you’re really not satisfied, and please – stop typing – like this.

The OP not using the PREVIEW is far from beside the point, as he is complaining about having to “pay to get rid of it.” Using the preview option he could have avoided the entire problem of not being happy with the new look of his character…

The preview removes your helm so I didn’t realize I’d have this issue with Magnus’ eyepatch and I was kind of disappointed with the change. I still really like the hair but I’d also like the option to leave my helm on in preview so I can see a problem coming. I filed a bug report in game about the clipping, anyway.

I just had a hairstyle kit and not the full one that lets me change my face. Maybe they figure if you’re buying new hair you’ll want your helm off for sure. Usually I’d agree!

It’d look awesome with the bandana hair. If you can, test it with a full makeover kit first and see if it lets you preview the helm too?

Yea, this is sort of a problem when the stuff doesn’t mesh well. I’ll have to preview it myself.

Also, I find it annoying that displaying headgear on someone makes them practically bald or they’re stuffing their hair all in that tiny thing.

Do check. It was a full makeover kit and I’ve been wondering about the hairstyle kits.

The problem is that I have neither the dreadlock hair or the eyepatch, yet.

Which do I buy first to test this properly, especially when the dreadlocks suffer from permanently dyed accessory syndrome which alarms the crap out of me?

I guess I could just set the stupid thing to brown and always ensure my armour dyes have brown in them somewhere as a neutral (ugh), buy the hair, then preview the eye patch. And if that doesn’t work out, buy the mask that looks like an eye-scar instead.

I want the eyepatch or scar mask because my asura has been bugged since launch where one of his eyes is always lighter colored than the other.

Actually it probably does, I don’t recall if it removed shoulders though. I have a leftover makeover kit that I was previewing the hair with and kept having to take off my helm and I didn’t need to when I bought the hairstyle one.

Sadly, the Self-Style Hair Kit does remove your helm. I can’t find any sneaky work around to get it to display the helm in the preview window to see beforehand if a hairstyle will clip with my helm.

It also forces an equipped shoulder armor to be visible even if it is selected to be hidden in your Hero Panel. Solution to that one is to un-equip the shoulder armor.
